But wait, there’s more. Today’s Flash sale on selected items are an additional 10-20% off.

Those Flex Gearwrench sets Tabs mentioned this morning are covered in the additional 10% off.

I looked this morning at the selling price of Sears stock. Closing price yesterday was 28 cents a share. It’s down again tonight.

FYI - Sears has a ratcheting screwdriver set on flash sale for $22.45 (limited time, hours I think) but I do not know the COO or the quality.

And to add insult to the injury....... No Shipping! :bounce:
interesting...both of those plus the screw drivers show as available for shipping for me. and we no longer have any s/k stores in the state.

and dang, didnt realize i missed a flash sale. that wouldve actually made the price even better. maybe no shipping was due to the sale? check the links again to see if they show as shipping for you guys

also, heres some big wrenches for a decent price. everything below showed as available for shipping

Craftsman 27x30mm 12-Point Box End Wrench 12.99

Craftsman 1-1/16" x 1-1/4" Box End 12 Point Wrench 13.99

Craftsman 28mm x 32mm Dual Box End 12 Point Wrench 16.99

plus more....

and some big open end wrenches...

The stock price is the old bankrupt SHLDQ (Sears holding) the new company is Transformco and is privately held. There is some debate whether there’s value in SHLDQ but it’s definitely a huge gamble. One guy at seekingalpha says it’s worth $17 a share because of remnants - he could be right, could be wrong. Full disclosure I picked up 1000 shares at 20 cents each because I guess I’m a degenerate gambler ;-) and over the years Sears deal were really good to me.

$16.94 is the all time low but it’s been over a year unless I missed it. They’ve had these since Christmas of 2017 and it took me over a year to get them they wouldn’t ship them to me or the store and I was eventually able to back door sort of trick the Kmart website to send them to a local Sears.

These are Chinese made by Great Star so quality is decent.

Sell em if they’re high, he’s wrong. There was a turnaround plan from when Transform bight the assets that listed all the assets of the parts. Transform got everything of value.

The only potential was in cash in a Bermuda reinsurance arm which was way below what was listed, declining and went to Transform. NOLs which there is no clear cut transfer protocol for. If Transform didn’t get the NOLs Eddie wouldn’t be dragging the case out because he’d likely have to settle some of the legal expenses. More than anything he’s probably trying to get past statutes of limitations on certain lawsuits and will let the old company chapter 7 once he’s past them.

My speculation is the author of that article bought up the stock at low points and tried to pump and dump it with those articles.

and some big open end wrenches...

The 12 piece box end set with those sizes was $89.99 in metric and standard in dec/jan last year.

They also had a large metric standard double open end set. It’s all old stock.

I went in the Westland, MI Sears yesterday. The tool department had only a handful of tools. Not a single power tool. 90% of the tools they had were screwdrivers. No torque wrenches, no nut drivers, a couple of wrench sets (gear wrench) - 5 sets of tap and dies (the smaller sets) and a few “tool sets” (think 108 piece sets). Otherwise they had some large craftsman tool boxes, ten to twenty vacmaster shop vacs and some single wrenches and warranty tools.

The entire store was pretty barren but nothing as bad as tools. It made me pretty sad. Oddly, the store was fairly busy but I don’t know why as there was so little to buy.

They still had decent deals on humidifiers if you need a small one (200 sq foot) or a huge one (think 4k square foot model) by aprilaire - I bought the pedestal model last year when it was cheaper and I had points to burn. I don’t understand the point of keeping the store open with no inventory.

On top of the trash can by the entrance was one of the old black good craftsman hoses, I’m guessing someone tried to warranty it but of course they had almost nothing in that part of the store except some grilles (Kenmore and a few kitchenaid) and some yard equipment think lawn roller, a tiller and a large leaf mulcher. No shovels, hoses, hand tools, rakes or shovels.

At this point he Eddie should just put the stores out of their misery - he’s just burning cash selling a few items of clothing and shoes. Can barely imagine it pays the electric bill.

I have only been to that store once; I scored a great deal on a Kenmore Elite grill in June last year so I drove two hours to pick it up. The tool department was running low on some items but otherwise was decently stocked. You may have saved me a trip there as I was planning on going in the next couple weeks to find some of their cargo pants. On one of the Sears/Kmart pages I follow, rumor has it that there will be three waves of closings this year that will wind down operations of all their physical stores. I haven't had any confirmation yet, but am looking to confirm this tomorrow if my manager friend is in. It wouldn't surprise me at all, I still cannot imagine how they have made it this far.

Clothing selection wasn’t too bad (a quarter of the tool department was craftsman clothing) so if you can get online pickup and want the pants, those they may have.

One deal they seem to be running is order from in store and it’s free shipping. But it’s selective on what’s eligible.

I have two orders to pickup from the closest Sears (50 miles each way) after a long dry spell, they sent me two offers $5 free points. I will tie that trip to see my mother who leaves nearby. That may be my last purchase from Sears unless I found something of interest in the store. The online inventory doesn’t show much.

As mentioned before, I feel they are closing in groups as the liquidators Fast Eddie has chosen can only handle so much. One sign to tell ahead of time is if your store suddenly gets a huge shipment of items to sell while they clean out the warehouse. Example in October the closest Kmart to me had aisles of swimming pool items. In November the announced they were closing.

The club still exists, but it has nothing to do with sears.

Yeah, Stanley's version of the club is just signing up to get email spam.

No more club forums, club member pricing, project contests, or other special promos.

Ok so I have $120 in points expiring tomorrow. Anybody got any ideas? Looks like most items won’t even let you use points now!

Wow! That's a lot of points to have to use up quickly...

Is there a store nearby? I would have suggested a big-ticket item like a lawnmower, string trimmer, leaf blower, etc... but their website didn't show any sold by Sears (and you never could use points for items sold by third parties)... but maybe you'd have better luck in store?

If there is a store close by stop by the clothing department and see what’s there. I was in my only Sears last week and clothing seemed to have the most in it. Tools was very scant, sockets dumped in a cardboard display bin marked with those pink price tags. But there was tools I haven’t seen in years- 3 piece Craftsman scraper set and a 3 piece Craftsman snips set.

Think socks, underwear, outerwear.

I expect this Sears to go in the next round. I think it’s the last Sears in Maryland.

They still show the Frederick one on the website.. but I have not been by. A year ago I was looking at freezers and the Frederick Store came up as closed.. I have been near there a dozen times but have not checked to see if its still there.... guess I should try harder...

Frederick Sears is still open at the FSK Mall. Last one in Md and the Wash DC area unless there’s another one the Baltimore area. Only reason I went is I had 2 offers involving $5 each of points. Of course I purchased during the 10% off sale that weekend.

Years ago the manager at the Sears Outlet told me if the internet is down to the store, it will not show up when you visit their website.

Does anyone know if the White Oaks, MD store is still open? It shows up in the Sears web site, but then they closed the store in Waldorf, MD with no notice during the COVID shutdown...….I truly miss Sears - started my tool set at the Landover, MD store back in the late 1970's. No better feeling then going into the tool department and seeing walls full of tools, and all of the ratchet and socks available in sets and individually.

The White Oak store has been doing the store closing sale since the beginning of February. I am going to guess there’s not a lot left in White Oak after two months that hasn’t been kicked through and manhandled.

I did my fair share of purchases at the Landover Sears too. Even a few things at the Alabama Ave Sears in Washington DC also before they closed that one in the mid-late 80s when I lived closer to that one.

Are there any left at this point? The last store in my area closed a month or so ago. I think the only thing that is left is a smattering of the Hometown stores in outlying areas, but they are all 1-2 hrs away. Sad to see them go, I bought a lot of mechanics tools there over the years as I slowly gained knowledge working on my own cars.

Not many left. We lost the one in our town four years ago. You can find the nearest store to you here: Sears Storefinder
