A year ago, I ordered a 26 piece set of impact sockets from Sears.... The sockets arrived in a plastic bag, stuffed in a small box along with the packing slip...Good price on the sockets.. "A sack of sockets from Sears=three Cheers" All 26 sockets were there, but the packing rather amused me.
My original order was for three socket sets.. I fought with their #@^&* website to have these three sets delivered to the store in Grand Forks, Nd.. because I go to GF often.. Their website kept filling in a different store location, which is out of my way.... I e-mailed Sears customer service, but got no reply.. I finally ordered the 1/2" drive 26 piece set later in the week, and had it shipped to me.. Being the sale on the 3/4" and 1" drive metric impact sets was over by then, I bought them elsewhere...... I have not ordered from the Sears website since.. Not that I am pissed, but rather not impressed.. We don't live in a perfect world, and folks behind a desk, in sales and in shipping can make pull a blunder at times... but dang, I didn't know there was such a thing as a Blunder Cloud!! Sad thing is; many shipping departments get caught in a Blunder Storm. It is not only Sears skimping on packaging... I ordered two l generator transfer switch panels that were both damaged upon arrivial...They had been '''''''drop shipped"""" from the factory in a thin cardboard box.... When the time comes to buy the generator, I will drive to Wisconsin and haul it home myself..... Some of my toy trains have literally been in trainwrecks while being delivered.... I don't mind folks cutting corners and using cardboard, old newspaper, popcorn, or wood shavings to pack a shipment.. Bubble wrap may cost a little more, not to mention the little more labor to do packing correctly... Is that little extra care something I would be willing to pay for??? yep Will I get it??? Last fall, I purchased three new Rigid pipe wrenches on eBay... They arrived in a cardboard box and newspaper was wound around the wrenches... The box was handled very roughly in shipment. But, due to the little extra care in packing, all three wrenches arrived in new condition... There is no way those three wrenches would have remained in that box without that extra packing..
In your case; you were lucky to get all the Craftsman wrenches that you paid for..
