It's not just Euro plastic. All plastic and rubber made now is ****. The EPA has taken all the good stuff out so it will biodegrade.

Bret

That must be it. I've seen a PU less than ten years old and the dash is cracked. Since we have rust free bodies now, they had to have something to keep new sells going.

We have a cars and coffee out by me BUT i don't go to often starts on Sat. A.M. at day break and is over in an hour or so. The real reason I don't show is the cars. They are mostly the european hot rods and new vettes, mustangs and hummers not to many real hotrods so I just go out in the shop and play.

We also have Cars and Coffee here, but like Don, ours also starts at daybreak and only lasts a couple of hours. Only went once, but don't like getting up that early when I am not working.

What is the second car?

F Type?

3ac22377896db5b55a271de9d0da7a24.jpg

I'm going to try to show up to the November C&C with my 77 Bronco. Rick, owner of the blue Cobra, lives behind me, I can hear him crank up from inside my house, he is two houses away.

Yes Jag F type.
Hey it's been awhile. When I see a restored bronco in town I wonder if it's you. I'll be in Moultrie for swap meet that weekend. Showed my wife the green one and she loved it.

It was around 8am when I stopped so not sure when this one starts. I too like the old American iron versus the newer stuff.

The weekend was productive. Finished the front landscaping which allowed some QST. First up, put together the Craftsman DP that I got a year ago. 7723f3244f824c11912e3e874d433adf.jpg motor needs some refreshed wiring. With the DP assembled, the bench got cleaned. 581c0486a17f7bc60f5686bec0f6621d.jpg this lead to organizing some of the cabinets. e2fbe42c4d4db986d56fcff70798f458.jpg Also did some small wood projects and last, empty my tall Lista to use at house garage. deab17071f73da0189df29c55cac13b7.jpg

In an effort to get rid of stuff, I made my annual trip to the Moultrie Swap Meet. I sold enough to cover all my expenses plus pay for a movie at the local theater. I camped out in trailer again but on a traditional mattress versus the air mattress like last year. A lot better set up this year.

The trip was marred by a couple of mechanical mishaps. I had a DVD player and an electric heater for the cold nights. First the generator wouldn’t start and my propane heater wouldn’t work. So much for the back up plan. The next day I brought a Mr. Heater Buddy. Worked great.
When leaving the swap meet, my trailer lights stopped working. I brought this LED light switch at swap meet and it ended up being my emergency tail light. 4400be585cb7e72091446ad0bde928e7.jpg
The light puts out some decent light and has Velcro and magnets on back for mounting. 1a613284b0363baacd7d990baad2d9a2.jpg
This got me a mile down the road to a store. I removed the trailer connector and hardware everything so I could get home.

To free up floor space, I decided to cut up my old work bench. 2e97c7c1329c3d2739582612d5dd9074.jpg
Is now this nice neat pile. I will use this metal for a multipurpose tool stand. 1f6c5a59bba65fd29611070c17f984e3.jpg
While on the make room mood, I set up my scrap metal cart (aka lunch tray cart)db3ad44c033e3e8caac1f239c7459652.jpga72a80439c2fe213d732591117e1f78b.jpg the white boxes are fiberglass columns that were cutoffs from the house being built next door. Better than the pvc down spout and milk grate.
Another cafeteria cart is being converted to a jack/jack stand cart. 88c944257b55d2c962474fa3fa1ec5fe.jpg it’s an in progress project.

Another space saving project is utilizing this bench as a mobile bench/auto body supply cart. b9b4829f52a930867fe5a787df42df0b.jpg note: the light is the same LED from trailer ordeal. Nice shop light too.
I was using my HF Service Cart but it didn’t hold everything. Since the ss top bench was unused and I had some donated drawers, I installed the drawers. e8c5686f218dd74d1d864f9b4ef0c413.jpg
After a couple of oops and brain farts, I had them installed. I’ll redo because there’s something out of whack. 041ddb76ca0c82e462aaea50364b3191.jpg0b4f697853e1b14951be10be2fd6b40d.jpg
I used the original bench shelves on the left side and moved everything from the service cart and a storage cabinet to the bench. Now I know size and amount of drawers to build. deefa9b98ed8b1de656fc21e038ce308.jpg

Last tasks was to get this SS pipe down off the storage cabinets. 372b86d39ed11d9a607ba2b9cfe1c9f8.jpg 20 ft stick of heavy wall tube that’s headed to a better home.

Last task was to wash the casters from the old work bench. If someone told me 5-10 yrs ago I’d be washing casters, I would had told them they were crazy. Thanks GJ. These casters will be used on a future table saw bench. bda362c1ce60ce6dab387d8ca14d60e9.jpg

One of the casters looks to have a good sized flat spot.

See nobody listen to G. You got to take your stuff out and give it a good run around the shop. LOL. My casters don’t have flat spots although mine are up for there 5 rotation again. LOL

If that caster was in someone elses shop, you'd call the spot on the caster a g- flat.:lol_hitti

Better than a G spot......

Wait, maybe ... aw sh#$ not going there.

LMAO, it’s probably a good thing to have a G flat when hitting the G spot. It would be kind of embarrassing having the neighbors see you bang the wife on top of the workbench rolling down the driveway. LOL

These casters are probably 25-30 yrs old. Rubber is pretty dried out. Casters will get new shoes for Christmas.

This past Saturday some of the Florida Chapter guys met at Gerard’s garage. We were going to gerard it, but he was already in the process.
I had a 20’ stick of heavy wall pipe that I was going to trade Craig-CBacres. Because of the length and weight, it was decided to cut into 10’ lengths. To ensure the I could transport safely, I made 4 support pads. 3b6f37541aa4407a10dc281d266cc06e.jpg
After finding the center of mass of the pipe and center of the supports, my crane made easy work of loading. 54e512738a244107fcdd5b6e8dd35d0e.jpg
I wished I had time to make the pipes look like rockets or missiles per Craig’s suggestion.
Here’s the Jobox tool box I traded for. I was going to build something out of wood but this is way better even without drawers.
787a93186fc46eb3ba6bd11a881dfa9f.jpg
Perfect fits. I’ll install some plywood trays until I can get some factory drawers.
Craig also sold me a few needed items from his dad’s garage. db6a9e19d635c2292ad33795f48f9915.jpg and gave me this Gunk can. c9118a1d6e48c9b078d858865ec65926.jpg
Last, thank you Gerard for lunch. A 2018 calendar would have been nice but great service by Katlyn will suffice. 926382d8994a0e86834890f50501a5e1.jpg

did someone from the group at least tell the Hooters girls it was their birthday?

Out of 2, our city’s down to just 1 Hooters. I love their hot wings.

I’ve been following this place in St. Louis on Instagram called Social House (bar) omg

I think it was our birthday. The Hooters calendar girls were there on a signing tour. The scenery was very pleasant.

Haven't tried hot wings, but I love breasts.

Remember Minnie Pearl's Chicken Kitchen? Their motto (I adopted) "We Specialize in Breasts and Legs and Thighs".

Merry Christmas, guys!!
