I almost spit out my coffee this morning on this one!
Shorty your projects are looking good. Look how close the CL is to the paint booth. That has me kind of scared. If I can slap the hood on the truck and get it inspected I can drive it down to your place and be the first one painted in the booth just don't tell Bob. You would really be helping me out on my ever closer deadline in September.

Here's a picture of the finished hat rack. I'm not sure what happen to the shelf. It was straight when I installed it. 
So more of the little things I've been working on. The cafeteria cart turned service cart had casters that were falling apart. Checking the caster cache, I had casters with same bolt spacing. Sweeeeet
I also cleaned layers of dust off and put the cart to work. While I had the Sheila Shine out, I cleaned the water fountain. Sure wish the cooler had cold water. One day.
While on caster duty, I brought casters for the horizontal band saw. Everything on wheels.

A few months ago, I decided to perform a thorough flushing of the Tahoe coolant system. I drained the radiator and used the heater hoses to back flush everything. I won't share the picture of what came out of the heater core. In the past, I've wrestled with getting the drain plug off with various pliers. I decided to get a SO radiator plug removal tool. SO as in Shorty's O'****. Another trip to the bandsaw and no blood. What am I doing wrong. 
The Mrs. isn't the most organized person, whereas I try to be. I saw an under-counter rack at Costco so I decided this project would be a good distraction from sanding on the SL. It was a pretty straight forward install and sure does make a difference. The last pic is all the duplicates that were taking up space under the sink.

How about one of the insightful safety tips. Tip one, don't use a forstner bit in your cordless drill that is the same diameter as the drill chuck. Boy did it wedge itself into the hole I was drilling. Tip two is always ensure anything on your shaft is tight. When messing with the table saw improvements, the pulley for the blade just slide off.
A sorta of safety tip is the magnetic in the bag trick that you have on your DP. I tried this and cleaning up the metallic slivers was as easy as removing the magnetic from the bag. No getting stuck trying to clean an unprotected magnetic.
Stay tune, there might be a French Maid in the neighborhood.

Stewart, you live in Florida so I assume you have storm shutters. Those usually involve wingnuts and lots of them. Pretty sure Home Depot, Lowe's and every hardware store stocks the wingnut socket, in 1/4" hex drive and all sorts of others. Now you've turned a rare and irreplaceable socket into a special tool, wasting several minutes and missing out on a rage-filled drive. What were you thinking?

Over last couple weeknights and weekends, I’ve been helping a coworker build a birdhouse. He decided he wants to try falconry. He wanted something he could move if he moved, so we came with a modular design. He’ll set 4x4 post with the panels in between. 
There’s a total of twelve panels, 8 plain, 2 door and 2 window. For bars, we used 1” pvc pipe spaced 2” apart.
Chips anyone?
Bottom 2x was drilled 3/4” deep whereas the top was through drilled. This allows him to change out the bars. A 1x1 wood strip is screwed down over top of bars.
It was amazing how much added weight there was with the window and door panels. This morning, we loaded up my enclosed trailer and took them to his house. I set up this dolly cart with some 2x to keep panel from sliding sideways. Boy did this dolly make it easier.

With the new vacuum, I wanted to have a cart for both the vacuum and dust deputy. Found a piece of old loft flooring the right size so knock this out. 
For casters, looked at my stash and had a bunch of vintage chair casters.
The little fastening points were bent in so a little work, like new.
The finished product. I need to clamp bucket down because pulling on hose caused it to fall over.

Definitely helps save the vac filter. I need to do something to keep bucket in place when hose is pulled.
May take awhile for the Mew (birdhouse to me) to be finished. His sister and BIL are supposed to start today. Wish I was a fly on the wall. I will probably be doing the roof so will get pics then.

I like the vac setup, I will need to do something similar in my metal shop as I am already deep in dirt and metal dust from grinding on some projects.

Duker, that's my thumb done in my shop, or I broke in the shed, actually it broke me in.
It wasn't the sawzall, i smashed it between the square tubing and the concrete, go figuire!
