Drum roll please.
The two day project that won’t end.

Ready to go.

you learn real quick if the vacuum isn’t on.
I need some longer screws for the glass frame and testing out different media flow and air settings. Not bad for first try.

I can’t wait to get my cabinet done, my two day project has been on hold for 10 months.

As for adding color to projects, I keep seeing fingers, if I wore your style safety shoes, I would be missing toes by now.

10 months is better than 10 yrs.

Sometimes I like to live on the wild side. Almost as wild as you and Tampa in the Astro with the ladies.

Was cutting some .063 aluminum sheet and using a cutoff wheel for aluminum. After about 5 minutes….

smok’em if you got’em.

Watching YouTube, a guy recommended these drill taps.

Worked great on the 1/16” angle (1/8 predrilled). End results are probably tad looser than when using normal taps.
Also, when the spray booth gets completed, it will be nice having a spray booth.

And no blood ?
Blood? No idea what you mean 😜
Looks like someone found another gear. Go Shorty go
Not really. I cheated. The dolly was from my short Lista. I just had to splice in 2” pieces on two sides. Having the new weld cart and weld bench setup makes for a lot quicker work. The drill/tap also greatly reduced the time.

We'll have 4 out-buildings when her She Shed is done. I hope to reduce that number to 3 by connecting the shop to her She Shed with a carport roof (16'x36'). Then I'll stuff the paint shed at the very back of the carport. The question is, do you think 8'x10' is big enough? I don't plan on painting anything bigger than a medium duty rear axle in it, maybe cut in some doors or fenders. Cars, cabs/boxes, or frames will need a real paint booth.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
My week was spent moving my mom to a new facility where she can get better assistance. A couple of years ago when I was 30-ish, I could carry a queen mattress by myself. Not so much now so off to the scrap bin.
I wanted to make some dolly converter arms like is used to move folding tables. Found some metal legs and had one more piece of angle from an old sign. Some quick welding. 5BEFCCF1-C7EA-4307-A8DB-4F4D90B1F5DA.jpegI think this will work in a pinch. 😁

Wish I’d built this a lot sooner.
When the dust settles I’ll blast and powder coat them.

Happy New Years!!!!!

In my teens I worked at a furniture warehouse, we routinely wrestled King mattresses around by ourselves- on and off the lift platform forklifts, into customers trucks or onto the roof of their car (my favorite...) Now I can't seem to wrangle a queen mattress by myself. I usually use a movers dolly like you mounted your table legs to (great idea, BTW) throw a strap over it, and have my wife help help steady it as we move roll it around. We did about 12 of those mattress moves in the last couple of years between our move back to AZ and getting the in laws out of WA, down to AZ and in and out of the assisted living facility they were in until they passed.. Hope that's done for a while.

All the best with your mom, Shorty.

As the year ends, so do long time memories. With my mom’s second downsizing, the dining room set she’s had for around 43 yrs is no more. We found someone to take table, chairs and hutch base leaving…A9289145-2B81-4424-94DA-9487CA543AD1.jpeg
Who knew that all fine furniture wasn’t put together with those screw studs and cam locks. This used glue and those weird Canadian screws. 😜

Kinda sad that items that have been in the family for 50-100 yrs are no longer wanted.
On a brighter note, a little Christmas color, just a tiny scratch.
