Harbor Freight.like the satinless one where the hell did you find that
Yup, lol.i am going to go out on a limb here, and guess harbor freight
Thats the stock finish, and yes I got it around 2005-2006.Was the paint or powdercoating removed down to the metal? curious indeed.
edit: did a google search, and found some info that harbor freight was selling this set-up in stainless steel around 2006. Still interested in hearing back from the poster of that box though.
Thanks, I've actually been considering selling it to buy a red chest and roller combo. I haven't been able to find the stainless side cabinets or any accesories to work with this one.I like that box...
Okay, this is the first time I've posted any pictures. Not really sure what I'm doing. My camera kinda ***** too. The crinkle I mentioned is in the top right corner of the chest, there's a closeup. I'll post the rest tomorrow.....
BTW, the weather has warmed up and the drawers are working great.
Nice bunch of TopTul stuff. Where did you get it?
/\/\ - That post has inspired me. I'm going to HF and buying 2 of those bottom boxes. You can't beat the amount of storage for the price. All my Hammerhead boxes are completely full and I'm not paying Snap On/Matco prices for another box.
Can you use 20% coupons on those boxes in the store? I have a store 15 min from me and they have those boxes in stock.
Nope. No coupons on tool boxes. There is a coupon for $349 each. Seems to be the best price going. Good luck![]()
Man Im glad I paid $270 when I did![]()
Yea you're a lucky MF'er. I'd buy 3 of them for that price.
I guess I'll pick 2 of them up on the $369 deal. All my boxes are full, and we're starting my sons tool collection so I need more storage. US General it is..
Agreed. I shopped @ Sears first, and the new Craftsman boxes feel like that were made out of recycled aluminum cans. The US General box feels much thicker and more sturdy.
My kids are lucky. I'm a single dad raising 2 boys, ALL my spare money is spent on them since I don't have a wife to spend it on. LOL![]()
That's awesome.I had to move this box into my shed at home. When the temp dropped well below 30 the drawers are very hard to open (sometimes I have to pull with both hands) and the slides are a little rough. Not many things function too well in the cold though . QUOTE]
I have my HF box in a garage thats unheated most of the time, and had the same problem. I pulled all the drawers out, wiped out as much grease as I could, and used 3 in one oil on the slides. also bent the rear of the slides open a little where they go into the detent. Works much more better in the cold now.![]()

How do you find the height of hte bench w/ the 2 HF under it? That's 40" + thickeness of table, right? I like the set up and have thought about doing the same thing, but seems high for a bench? (I'm 5'10")
Thanks.
