It's just a bad picture. Set is 6-24mm no skips. 25-32mm are available separately.
OH! Good to know. Funny then, though, his shipping is all over the place.
Still killer prices though! I'm tempted just for S&G's but really, I'm good on wrenches.
Might send my brother a set of the long pattern SAE's though.

I'm in the same place- I already have full sets, but these are really nice at a great price. For comparison sake- I have previously had side-by-side these to Icon and they appear absolutely identical, even the stamping is very close - I think probably made in the same factory. But even Icon is $100 on members-only sale for a smaller set. I don't think you can beat this deal and I'm struggling to not pull the trigger.

Something people are less likely to have that I think could be a good buy is the 6 point wrench set. Not so frequently used but can be handy time to time and decent ones are expensive

(edited to include link- $45 plus shipping)

I had a nice Bonny 6-point metric set I got circa 1980. Little by little I lost most of them though :(

Hmm I might just order that set even though I don't need it or have room for it lol. I have the Carlyle 6 pt 6-8 and 24-27 still unused that I ordered by mistake when I ordered my Carlyle wrenches. I wanted 12 pt and subsequently replaced them. They are very nice wrenches and $45 for 7-19 seems hard to beat.

Heads up, eBay user "purelinens" has a ton of Carlyle wrenches at a deep discount. I just picked up the complete long-handle wrench sets in SAE and Metric for 50% of the current (admittedly good) sale price.
Received my 18 pc set of SAE anti-slips the other day, perfect condition and great price as you said.

Yeah I asked about combined shipping for both sets. They said that the shipping charge was the "actual" shipping cost. Both wrench sets shipped in one box that was about the size of two of the larger Carlyle boxes stacked on top of one another. No additional bogus paper or other cushioning included. Not 100% happy with the shipping side of things, but I can't complain considering how low the overall cost was.

I see that the seller offers multiple shipping options, so even if he won't combine shipping you can still potentially save a few bucks. Click into the Delivery section when you are in Checkout and select the lowest cost (USPS Ground Advantage for me saved about $12 over FedEx). Shipping shouldn't be a way for sellers to make extra profit, but it does seem in this case it is still quite a deal.

Also I noticed when I first clicked into the auction it said "Almost gone" on one of the sets but now it says "More than 10 available." Looks like he has sold 100+ sets of these wrenches...really makes you wonder how someone gets so many sets cheap enough to sell at such a steep discount and still make money. Well, I'm not actually questioning, just buying!

USPS is better for me anyhow. My Fed-EX will either lose my stuff or leave it on the sidewalk for the crackers to steal!

Good to know for the future. I jumped on the purchase before everything was sold out.

I also question how they got that many sets of only wrenches at a (presumably) low cost. It's odd, but I'm not going to question it. A few years back, eBay vendors were selling Gearwrench tools at a steep discount. Turns out they were drop shipping them from Sears and using stolen CCs. My shipping label had the sellers info and there was an invoice from the seller in the box, so that does not appear to be the case here.

I did wind up buying that 6pt set even though I don't know what I will do with them. Price was too good to pass up. Now I need to buy the 20-23 to complete set (6-27). I have the 12 pt set in 6-27.

How long is the 19mm? I want to compare to Tekton. I've been looking for a metric set in a pouch for mobile use. I already have too many metric wrenches, but I do want to add a set in a pouch that I can just keep in a portable box and grab and go with.

Replying to myself here, because I messaged the seller and not sure if he had a change of heart or what, but he is combining shipping for me. Didn't save me a ton of money, but basically where I was saving $12 by using USPS over FedEx, now I'm actually saving $13 and getting shipped by FedEx. Worth a try.

My guy managed to track down another one of the old-style 3/8 locking flex ratchets for me (R38LFQR). The original one resides in my road box, hence needing a second for home. It’s become my favorite ratchet.

I showed the head difference between the old version and the new 120T wrenches a few pages ago.

There’s a few left in the system. If your parts guy is halfway decent, he should be able to order one in from you.

It's interesting that Carlyle Snap on and Mac/Proto have all recently switched to thicker flex joints with their newest round of ratchets. Seems like a pattern. I wonder how much of it is about saving on warrantees and how much is because people are asking for flex head ratchets they can reef on harder. I'm with you, the old smaller flex joint style is more useful for me

I think it's entirely about lowering their COGS, a bigger joint means they can use a cheaper grade of steel, kinda like when gearwrench started making the lobster claw wrenches 10 years ago.

More likely that they want the anvil to fail before the joint. Snap On does the same thing in order to design the failure into a rebuild kit and not replace the entire ratchet.

I've heard that Wright does this too but their intentional failure point is the pin that the pawl sits on inside the ratchet head. This is supposed to snap before you're able to take a chunk out of the teeth in the head so you can easily replace it with a rebuild kit with no accumulated wear and tear like a round head would normally have. Apples to oranges talking about Wright and Carlyle but I think it's interesting seeing how different companies approach this.

This has been my go to for quite some time. Seems like they were on sale for cheap awhile back. If I had known it would become my fav, I would've bought two.

Think I only paid $22 for mine, damn good ratchet and I just bought two more Carlyle long flex in the current sale that is going on until the end of the month.

Nothing fancy. I like ratchets with metal handles. I bought the 3/8" some time ago on a GJ recommendation and the recent Napa discount brought the price down on the 1/4" to a manageable $20 so I bought it to add to my RV toolkit.

I didn't notice this before, but it looks as though Carlyle has a locking 1/2" flex now that's 25" long:

A few pages back I mentioned that I picked up the Kobalt equivalent. This is on sale for almost the same price. The Kobalt will be going into my truck for changing lugs once I pick this thing up.
@Drunkonunleaded Curious if you ever picked up the new Carlyle 25" 1/2 flex ratchet? I know on the 3/8, the 120T head size was significantly larger than the old version, but curious if that carried over on the 1/2 ratchets as well.

Thanks for posting this.

I ordered the 12 pt metric set and received it a few days ago. I haven't used them, but they are really nice wrenches. I didn't need a set this big, 8-19 would've been fine, but for less than $6 a wrench, total, this was definitely a great deal. I looked before posting this and it says out of stock and 75 sold. So they went fast. Probably mostly to members here.

7 to 19s came this morning and they're same series as the others I bought by mistake. Haven't ordered the missing ones yet but they are on the wish list.

I have not. It's on my list, but sadly not near the top. When I pick it up, I'll be sure to post pictures. Likely won't be until after Christmas.

Be advised that I do not own the old version of the ratchet (or any 1/2" Carlyle for that matter), so I won't be able to do comparison photos like I did with the 3/8" ratchets.

Wasn't sure how much longer it would be on sale (showed up as $79.94 for me pre-tax, pn CHT R12LFL120 for future reference) so I decided to give it a try. Should be getting it soon so I can put up some pictures. I also don't have any other 1/2" Carlyle ratchet to compare to but can compare with others.
