I should've mentioned that my source is the 15th Edition (2008) of the Official Price Guide to Collector Knives. It is typically very reliable....I believe you've got the date range correct...

I apparently have an affinity for DOE wrenches...
Those boards are fabulous!
RagTopTA and Private Lugnutz:
Front cover from 1910 Norvell-Shapleigh Hardware Co. catalog.
(* Lugnutz: the reason you didn't get any "Norvell" catalog pages is because all of those I have are for wood planes other than these three - the front cover of their 1910 catalog, a page showing "Crescent Tool Co." hammers (who knew?) and another showing the Richards "Wizard" wrench and the "Baxter's Adjustable". Note the "S-shaped" adjustable at center is stamped "Shapleigh". Still have not figured out who made the "Little Giant" brace sockets or the carriage wrenches at bottom. I'll forward these to you.
I read some stuff about Shapleigh way back but my memory is fuzzy, but I believe you've got the date range correct: RagTop has a seriously old wrench there. *)

Those boards are awesome! Nice job!
You are being far too modest, Don. While hank's boards are a fantastic idea, and nicely executed, in my opinion nothing can be better than an original tool board, regardless of the condition. That Barcalo board is the bee's knees, man....aesthetically less pleasing...

It just hit me! The shape is exactly like Terry's Magneto Spanners, which are British, and much, much smaller!
I got a couple of yesterday’s estate sale finds out of the evaporust. The first one is an unmarked 723. The next two are offset mirror images of one another with the same markings. Somebody must know who made them.

I don't know what Leg means by "S" wrench when it's an engineers' wrench, but I agree that it looks like a Vlchek contract wrench based on the shape, the crisp "723" stamped font, and the forged-in "17" forge number.
I wasn't sure why you were bringing "S" wrenches into it when those features are common to unbranded Vlchek engineers wrenches, too. But thanks for clarifying.also used by Vlchek on their 'S' wrenches.
Thanks Don...I`ll have to keep my eye open..Indestro “Select Steel” DOE wrench. Similar to these I just posted on the Duro/Indestro thread.

Some Hazet and Superslim DOE's
Nice set of Superslim spanners there kyrbz. They're getting difficult to find in such good condition.
Do the sizes of correspond with this catalogue listing?

Technically not vintage, but they have a vintage look. I like these Gedore DIN 895's for my German vehicles that are missing their original tool kits.
