Kev,
You are a brave soul. That looks like death waiting to happen to me.

I made a set that does basically the same thing. But I think mine may be a little safer:

Ravaglioli 4350 4 Post Vehicle Lift (Capacity: 3500KG)
Bought at 3 years old as an HP repossession, and almost new underneath the muck ]
It's been four months, can we get some more pics?

Interestingly enough, I just came in for dinner, and I'm about halfway through tearing my lift down!
A shipping container will arrive tomorrow (btwn 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) and the 9k# floorplate (2-post) lift will be the first thing to go in.
In another month, April 27, 2012, if the builder is to be believed, we'll be movingh into another house some 1100 miles to the south. Besides the 1000 SF attached garage, where this existing lift will go, I'll also have a detached 1050 SF building in which I'll be putting in a Bend-Pak XPR 10A (overhead cables & hydraulic hose).
Pictures of the lift(s) in the new place will have to wait.

Wow! I've frequently "joked" about putting a tray ceiling in the garage (there's already one in the master bedroom directly above this portion of the garage). I really like the amount of space you have around your work area too!here's a few of mine, not the best shots but enugh to get the idea.

I think YOU WIN too! Just proves that with enough determination, anything's possibleHere's mine.
I think I win the award for the smallest garage with a lift! 10 x 20!

) the master closet in the house we're selling is 12' x 20' (new house has two walk-ins, but they won't add up to the closet space in the house we're leaving).Nice Ride! Here's my kid on my DirectLift.

Yes, a familiar face (err, screen name...) indeed!Randy, nice to see a fellow Bimmer Forums member over here. Wow, that is a huge move. What prompted the distance/location?
I will be relocating my benpack single post lift over to the new garage addition and also relocating my Rotary symmetrical lift from my shop 30 miles south. Cant wait to have everything close and under one roof.
I find that waxing the rocker panels and under the bumpers with the cars on a lift makes that job a whole lot easier (as I get older...).Please don't mind the construction.
Currently, in the middle area of the this car, I can stand up fully with out bending over (I'm 5ft 11"), however, most cars/trucks are larger and we plan on building a recess in the ceiling so the car/truck can go up another 2ft.
I am really pleased with this lift, its an atlas bp9000 from greg smith equipment. I love coming up with excuses just to use it. Its smooth as butter.

I can't wait to get a garage big enough for a lift, problem is it will have to lift a big diesel 3/4 ton. So I was thinking about a 10k
I have a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure. I got the "auto fold" option on mine.![]()
Did anything fall off the lift? I'm not sure what my nephews lift is, but he had the same thing happen to him.
. I just called that guys and he said "just lift it up" and it will straighten up"....and it did. LESSON here always keep your eyes on all four corners when operating lift.

Just in case you haven't discovered that excuse yet![]()
Not to go too far off-topic, but how do you like this lift? Sturdy?
I've been thinking about getting one, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Here is a 6 post common column lift

I was wondering if anyone here can point me in the general direction where I might find this sort of lift. I can't find anything similar via Google etc.
Thanks in advance!
