Incorrect. 90% of people put the hoists on the floor. Just make sure you set the hoist on the floor in the middle of a hot day.

Not only would I, but I have as has most racedeck users with 4 post hoists. I don't have mine bolted down though. If it were a 2 post you can't do that. You would put a lift directly on top of a racedeck tile like he was asking? If the tile doesn't collapse from the weight of the lift, the tension from the anchors, and the weight of a vehicle on top I would be very very surprised.

Sweet find! Looks fairly new!My Rotary SPOA88 7K. Snatched this up for free from my father who was selling his building that once housed a transmission shop. Had a buddy with a skid steer and a flatbed who helped me remove and deliver to my home. From there, I installed it in my pole barn completely by myself.

Details?!
its a direct lift pro-park7 which is 7k lb lift...been waiting to get one for a while since my shop went a little over budget and between looking everyday for a used one this one poped up on craigslist so I called and inspected and had it tore down and re installed within 6 hours.

I have had this for a year now.... no problems. I would purchase again. Thanks for asking.

This style obviously takes some additional planning and is a bit more expensive but eliminates the need for posts, which has some benefits.
We have 6 of these at work. We like them for flexibility of the space. Not cheap though.I've gotta admit, I've always wanted to get in on this thread and I finally can. It's a Rotary 10k Smartlift. I haven't seen many of these on here and thought you all might like to see a modern version of an in-floor lift.

I can see the advantage of the in floor lift when not working on the car... but when you are working on the car... the posts are in the way.
How would you repair the cylinders or piping if there is an issue?

Wow! that is a really cool lift. Do you mind sharing what the average cost installed is? I paid double for the challenger as compared to a bend-pak... it might be good for people to know how close to their budget this type of lift would be.
Also, how deep did they have to dig to install?
Thanks for sharing

Been working on getting settled in the new place for the last couple of months, plus trying to get back to work (3rd car since getting here is currently under the knfe).
I brought my old Eagle floorplate lift to use in the clean garage; this will be primarily for keeping my own cars on, and occasional detailing & maintenance work:

I put a new BendPak XPR10A in the (detached) dirty garage; after moving in, this car sat here for a full month while I got the shop outfitted to go back to work (on the buyer's behalf, the seller held onto the car waiting for us to be able to move for about four__4__months, the car arrived less than a week after we did:
