Coming up on my 5th year with this thing... it has been great. Best tool I have ever bought.

I am so psyched to be able to share in this thread. On Monday —- I took possession of a “backyard buddy 7k classic” —- made in Ohio using mostly local materials. It is a little bit overkill for what I am looking to do, but the best part is that the lift doesn’t have to be bolted to the floor; and will allow me to do work on our fleet of cars that will not require me laying on my back to complete.
I did shop around a bit (challenger, atlas, bendpak, etc) - but this set up seemed to be the best value and it came with a little rolling jack platform, as well as some drip trays so that what’s below will not be coated in ....
I agree!!!Congrats. I like what I see on the upper deck there!

What is your ceiling height? Are you able to stand under the XJ?

Ceiling is 10.5’ but I lose a good 10” because of the garage door opener. The XJ is not as high as it goes in this photo, since I was getting ready to do brakes. If I lift it as high as it can go, I still have to slouch a bit.

I finally ordered a Pro 10 two post lift from Derek Weaver. It's scheduled for delivery on Monday. Anyone have one?![]()

I'm just finishing up my shop now. The only think I've lifted so far is a bench to paint window trim but I think I'm going to be very happy with it. Challenger 10k asymmetric. It will get use soon. It's time to get three race cars ready for the upcoming season.
What finish on the concrete
Installed this Challenger 10,000 lb lift in my new retirement man cave. This whole thing has been a long time coming, very happy with the lift.
Have the exact same one. Same color posts everything. Love it.
Great vehicles to see. I did notice a difference in baseplates on our SPO10....I'm in earthquake country, so maybe there is a difference in models?
This may be a stupid question, but how does this lift work? I see no baseplate or overhead beam.
Mohawk lifts are individual pistons per side. You can actually move one side and not the other should you chose to. They are independent of each other. Rather slick set up. But you pay a good premium for them.
My Bendpak 2 Post for actual work, and a simple Atlas 4 Post for storage.
So if you want to raise both sides simultaneously, how is that done? How does one post "communicate" with the other?
