Question for you screwdriver fans. What is the purpose of having so many different screw drivers and also is it really worth it to have a SO set opposed to say a gearwrench set?

Mspecperformance,
For slotted screwdrivers, it is important to own ones with different blade tip thicknesses. Here is an older GarageJournal thread that discusses this topic:

I certainly understand but there is a difference from owning 20-30 screw drivers than owning 50+...
Also ratchets are a bit different since they are a more intricate tool in regards to shape, teeth, quick release, etc.

The the top..... Any new drivers acquired by anyone????
I recently picked up some Urrea Mexican made screwdrivers. They appear to be copies of the old Witte screwdrivers Matco sold a few years ago. I'll use and abuse them to see how they hold up.

Interesting Monte...where'd you get these screwdrivers?
Those AU made Stanleys look interesting.![]()
They were sitting in a local hardware store and after seeing they were made "down under" I thaught they would look better in my toolbox
