I had a cw guy come around weekly around 2005. I bought this 3/8 impact socket set from him. He then went out of business.

The 10mm,13mm and 15mm wore out soon after. They blow off the bolt instead of turning them. I contacted CW who gave me a number of the dealer that services my area. He lives in Utah....I'm in California! Thats why I've never seen him.

He said I had to box them up and send them to him and then he could see if they were covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover wear, only breakage. Mine aint broken, just worn out.

I said screw it and I bought a set from the Snappy guy and took these home as the rest of the sockets are like new and work fine.

I have no clue, I bought it about 8 years ago. I think it was around $350, but I could be way off.

I don't have a pic of it at the moment but I brought the Cornwell Blue Power 3/8 metric impact set w/ gun (has swivel sockets and normal sockets in metric) that my dealer was running a special on. Yes, I know the sockets are imported. That's OK though, they seem to be decent quality.

Our Cornwell guy is a great guy, I just have little to no interest in most of their tools. I do like their huge cart but it's rather pricey new. Two of our guys have the big cart, one has the smaller full drawer cart.

When I still worked in the body shop I bought quite a bit off the Cornwell Truck. We had Mac, Matco, Snap-On & Cornwell trucks stop, but I liked the Cornwell dealer the best. I left the shop in '04 so most of my stuff is 12-15yrs old.

Im beginning to really like their tools. I quit working on cars for a few years and sold almost all my tools to pay some bills. When I recently got back into it I bought some super cheap tools and have been slowly replacing it with cornwell stuff. Sockets and ratchets when they are in the flyers. A lot of people seem to not like cornwell but their hardline stuff is great and their Taiwan stuff is on par with matco but cheaper.

What's the word on those cornwell screwdrivers with the squarey shaped handles. Not the Witte. I'm thinking about getting some.

Depends on how you're holding the screwdriver at that moment in time. If you grip it like an ice pick, those sharp square corners will kill you. They've since added some rubber covering, but I don't think that's going to be enough.

I have stubby metric wrenches, shallow metric impact sockets, shallow SAE chrome sockets, short and long miniature picks, 1/4 and 3/8 ratchets, Hex sockets, tamper proof torx, and an SAE stud remover. I'll try to get some pictures next time I'm at my box.

First set of screwdrivers I bought, work great and actually fit better than the snap on ones I bought to replace them

I have a set of Mac ones that I like but they are longer than a normal screwdriver and I hate it. So I'll probably either trade them in or put them up on the classifieds.

here is something that Cornwell makes the very best example of - the legendary TE-27 - no other test light is as well made that I have seen, and I think I have seen all of them.

1/4-11/16" combos. I was kicking around picking up a 3/4" to complete the set but I cant find one beat up enough to match.

I know a guy who bought a Cornwell top and bottom box along with a lot of tools. The day they were delivered he made a payment, and the dealer never came back.

We have a Cornwell dealer in town now and he's really trying to get some business. Thinking of using him for everything from now on. Great guy he seems like.

TheRobotCow - Those are very nice pictures. I especially like the one with the extra long combination wrenches. Thanks for posting those.
