I just picked these up on Thursday.

I had them out at the MIL's estate sale and had an offer of $650 but the wife was whispering in my ear that I should keep them and use them as part of my new steevo style bench. Still a few weeks away from starting that build so I will have to decide what I want to do.

I have the standard issuse 520 I got from Pa when I found it in the back shed. The roll cab I got of CL for $50. I don't think it ever held a tool before I got it. Not the greatest picture, hard to get a good shot where its position in the shop.

That is a lot more money than they would bring around here

Paid 40 bucks for this at a garage sale last summer including some tooling and misc parts - I use it for all my lock rekeying tools and parts:

Here's mine. I made a dolly to accommodate the side box and upgraded the casters since this was a bit overloaded to begin with. Then when I added the 1/4" steel plate to mount the vises, I knew the casters would not be able to take it.
I never cared much for the drab brown paint so I painted it and added a bit of bling to the corners.

Top box is a 220R, I forget what model the bottom is. Something not currently in their catalog.

Top is what I take if I'm working on something away from home, bottom had machine tool stuff in it until some recent re-arranging of toolboxes.

4 or 5 of the 7 drawer Kennedys kicking around, not the best shot of the 10 drawer. The Craftsman set I believe is made by Kennedy? Or Waterloo?

My baby Kennedy... never seen one this small before. Currently pulling storage duty for my little mityvac. Formerly used it as an underseat toolbox in my '67 Impala.

Here's mine. The first picture is a machinist's box that I bought about 6 months ago. The second picture are the rigs that I had when I worked in Industrial Maintenance. The Versa-Cart rig was used at the plant and the mechanic's top & base, I kept at home. Back when I bought my Kennedy rigs, you could only get red & brown. My preference was brown so it wouldn't show dirt as much as red.

Edit: The rigs in the right picture are anywhere from 25 to 35 years old, expend on when I bought them. There is a 19" cantilever box that I bought from a yard sale from a widow, sometime in the early 80s. I believe that it was manufactured in the 50s or 60s.

Here's my tote box. I added supports to hold a tray inside and made a little tray to fit so instead of heaping everything too deep in the bottom I have one layer in the bottom and then another level of tools in the tray plus the original fold out trays you see here.

Here is my 526 I keep by my old atlas lathe. I got it for $20 and did a restoration at post #1035 Here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49743&page=52

Here is my work box. I need wider drawers heavier duty drawers and more room. Gotta start the hunt for an upgrade.

Ain't it though?
I think they have something similar to that bottom box in the current catalog, maybe one drawer off in drawer count or something. I bought that one N.O.S. on ebay, paid a pretty penny for it but I thought it was cool.

Top box is still available, but I bought it used via ebay.

Just inherited this one from my Grandfather, working on cleaning it up and putting it to use for my machinist/lathe tools.

It contained a couple goodies, couple Starett Micrometers, machinist rulers, drill bits and centering bits and a vintage wall mount Coca Cola bottle opener that will be mounted on my Vintage Coca Cola Ice Chest.

Went out and grabbed a couple pics of my oldest Kennedy. I bought it used over 30 years ago, in need of TLC. The Rustoleum blue has held up well. Top leather handle was rotted. so I added a couple heavy duty side handles similar to the ones on Kennedy's 10 drawer chest. No idea how old it actually is, but they haven't made the square top model in some time.

Here is the Kennedy that I have at work. I bought it at an estate sale. This was the dirtiest box that I've ever bought. I just couldn't pass up a 5 drawer center section. I can't recall seeing a center box as tall as this one. It's 28" wide, an odd size. The box was originally gray wrinkle and was repainted at some time with gray spray paint.

I don't have any photos of the box in the condition in which it was purchased, but here is what it looked like after several hours of cleaning:

Here is the box after the old paint was stripped, a little body work, and hammered gray paint (no **** brown wrinkle for me).

I took some pics for the Garage sale thread so I thought I would put it up here also. Picked up from the local thrift yesterday for $15.

Wow, what a turn around! I really like your choice in finish. I noticed you eliminated the holes on either side of the Kennedy decal. Any idea what those were originally for?

Those were not factory holes. The original owner, Woody Williams, drilled those holes to attach badges with his initials. I found some oily receipts and an almost perfect "Irish Hospitals' Sweepstakes" ticket inside the box. I saved the union sticker that was on a drawer face and adhered it to a piece of magnetic sheet so that I can place it back on the drawer without damaging the paint.

Thanks to this site, when my Grandpa passed I recognized his Kennedy box from his machinist days and claimed it. All the other grandkids didn't claim it because I don't think they really recognized it as valuable. It has his name engraved and his machinist tools in it along with his machinist book and all that. Very cool.

I finished my Kennedy reclamation this weekend. I used Rustoleum hammered bronze with the built in primer (I hit it with rust converter first) but it came out silver and not nearly as nice as that beauty by senlow but it will work for my electrical box.

The two bottom ones on the end...

Honestly though, they are pretty crummy boxes for what they cost. The slides are really crappy. Even my new brown bottom chest at work has terrible slides.
