My mom wanted a trellis, so I made her something that plants can grow all over. It has a spear on the top, but doesn't fit in my vehicle. That's all. Paint sold separately.

A**hole, That Foosball table is ****! I haven't played in years, but just looking at yours makes me want to play again.
Where did you get the men? They look extruded. Did you design them yourself?

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I hadn't played since the late 70's either. My nephew's buddy is really into it, maybe a resurgence? anyway, took on the project. I had other theme ideas, but he was paying the bills.

The men were cut out of aluminum plate and ceramic tumbled.

I've had a few prototype oil drain pans made since3 I don't Tig.

That is one of my biggest pet peeve's, ****** plastic drain pans that leak, drip etc. all of them.

I change my own oil in my vette, truck etc. I'v designed a pan that is low profile and will handle up to 8 quarts, never got around to having the final unit built, I'd pay good money to have one done. Lots of welding to do one.

Ran into some free steel at work Friday that just screamed steel rack:

Nice thing is it can be added on to vertically very easily.

Here's one a did a few years ago. Built an entire front end loader for my 4wd mini Satoh Beaver tractor. (Mitsubishi bought them out in 1980, mine was a 79)

Most of the steel was scrap, free or extra cheap. Only new parts used were the hydraulics. Had about 1k in the loader and Bucket. Had 75 bucks in the quick attach and fork setup.

My uncle is a scrapper/horder and I scored this table from him FREE. Someone else welded it up and eyeballed the angles. I am 6'4" and raised the table up 8" by welding on some bottom parts.
Welded on old Harbor Freight wheels off a HF tool box. Spent a while cleaning the rust off the table.
Welded on a HF receiver and added a Vice/Grinder to one end with a thumb screw. Also added a angle grinder holder.
Invested in the whole thing: $50
Small compared to what many of you welders do, but I am a hobby welder with a small buzz box. Just picked up an old Lincoln Tombstone that I need to add a 220 volt outlet for. Have never stick welded.

Since photobucket went down I put the pics here directly, but I can't figure out why they rotated.

Not a lot of welding to it but free. Top was a gutted freezer door was exact fit and found some scrap sheet for the shelf. Screw trays from electric fixtures. Shelves from milk thingys. It was given to me wheels and all, shoved it in place and hung some stuff on it.

Wow! That's one big hunk of "C" channel! I love FREE stuff! About Photobucket....I'm probably gonna git it for this but...good riddance! In my web searches I have found that, about half the time, anything over a few years old that was linked to Photobucket had been taken down. Thus, ruining sometimes valuable posts by guys just trying to pass along information. And that knowledge is pretty much forever lost. I don't know why the photos get taken down but it's a disservice to every one who uses the web for research. And now? Are all those photos to be lost?

A few projects; I'm getting everything ready for moving to my new shop & making most things mobile...

Added a dolly and a press brake to my shop press:

press-brake-small_zps7415c405.jpg

...

Hey Lu-Max, I'm making a press brake for my HF20-Ton and while researching ideas, a picture of yours came up on pinterest. When I followed the link back here to GJ, all I got was the photo bucket notice.
I'm really interested in how you made the top die to hold the fingers. It's there any chance you could post some pictures of the clamping method you used for holding them?

Yeah Photobucket really ticked me off......

The finger break is from SWAG Offroad, I made the dolly from some angle iron, casters, expanded metal mesh, etc.

I don't have my photos sorted or setup to repost, just too busy ATM.

After changing oil in all my equipment last weekend and having no place to drain all the filters, funnels and pans I fabbed up an Oil Drain Tray. Just need to make the panel to mount it to the wall, a Funnel Rack, Shear a piece of Perf Stainless and get a piece of hose to run to the 55 Gallon Drum. Been a while since I picked up the Tig Torch.

I love long weekends.

That looks great. Before reading I was thinking it was the beginning of a grill haha. Nice drain pan.
What are the dimensions?
Do you still have the program for it?

My wife brought 3 bars stools at a yard sell. Old house had standard 42" bar where as our new house has the counter bar (36"). We wanted another stool so ordered one the right height. Using the new one as a guide, I cut down the original three.

Not hundred percent sure why right side looks like ****. I was having problems with a good ground.

I have not been posting much as of late, though I have been looking. Thought I would post one of my most recent projects. Over the last several years, I have become addicted to crossfit training. Not being one that can leave anything alone, I decided to build some new kit at my coaches request.

Just beginning:
IMG_2018_zpsu6sqmfza.jpg
[/IMG]

You should have an idea what it is now:
IMG_2019_zpsg3m42nlb.jpg
[/IMG]

Complete:

[/IMG]

The first load:

Like the farmers carry, a wheel barrow will kick your **** once you put a bit of weight on it. We have piled as much as 405lbs on this (can handle more) and pushed it as quick as possible for distances of around 100 yards. What a killer workout. Working out just as if you are, well... working, will pile on the gains.

Cheers

Havent really built anything in a long time. But im moving at the end of the month and wanted some new furniture. First project is a new platform bed frame. Other things will include a AV "cabinet" and some other things that i can come up with. Felt so nice building again.

I needed a tool tray for my new forge stand and forge. I had a grinder on this stand for years, but when I got the forge.... the old grinder just did not fit any more.. The tray made the forge and stand a better work area..

This is my coal forge.... a lot of work at times. I have to work out side with this coal forge. With the gas forge I am right next to the anvil.

Moonpool, Can't see any of your photos. Probably need to give Photobucket more money or just use this site's posting feature. Not too hard to use and it's FREE.

Made 100% of 1/4" plates cut out and welded together to make one big solid hunk of steel, sliding tube is 1/4'' wall and fixed tube is 3/8" wall. Screw is a 1" diameter screw jack I found in a scrap pile at a bridge project, has way coarser thread than most vises. Whole thing stands 8" off the bench and is 14 inches long, goal is to have 8" jaws. Currently weighs 30 pounds four of which are welding wire and the goal is 50 pounds or more when done. Been picking at it for a week now doing all the cutting with a 4.5 inch angle grinder :lol_hitti

Nice ... you should do a build on it, if you have the pictures. Any pictures with something familiar next to it, to get an idea of the size?

Unfortunately I wasn't sure how it would turn out so no build pictures, but I can start as it progresses if I remember  Took a few tonight for scale, the little vise is a typical box store 4" vise and the drill is a regular 18volt Makita.

My project yesterday was just to organize my welding section of the garage... I’m hoping to redo the garage this winter and make it more streamlined..
