Needed to recreate the clutch rod from the pedal to the pivot assy on the 55.
They were never bushed so lots of wear at several joints. Also, recently upgraded to a McLeod Racing clutch which takes considerable more leg effort. Always had an issue clearing header down tube.
Fabbed a center located bushing assy. As opposed to the offset original design. Borrowed the concept from my Deere.

These getting to be fun to build. The first one I built I just traded for the Honda TRX250M that's behind it. It runs, but needs a clutch...another project now...I thought it was a fair trade...the lady that got the whirligig is tickled with her new "moving yard art"...

Brackets for new casters on my secondary workbench. They're as high as they are so that I can use the workbench as an outfeed for my table saw, which is also lifted. The 4" casters make rolling this puppy around a lot easier, especially after the vise is back on, the welding curtain goes back on, etc.

Hey guys sorry it's been a while I've been super busy! Here's a tower I built a week or so ago. I have video of the whole thing that really shows it off but it won't let me upload it? This is a mower idea I've been tinkering around with for few days...it's electrically driven for now, 120 VAC, yes I'll run off a generator and yes, it's probably not enough motor for regular grass cutting, 1/2 HP. I plan to do the "weed eating" with it if it comes close to working for now. Later I'll probably swap out the 1/2HP motor for an 18 or the 26 HP gas motor I have. Then Ill change the pivot so I can rotate the belts to 90* so the arm will still swings up and down on the same plane. The actuators are 24 VDC, 20A max rated. I think the actuators are rated at 500 Lbs each. It has two 22 inch disc with three disc mower blades set at exactly 120* apart for a total cut width of 50 inches. Everything is out of free or salvaged scrap parts but the steel.

For wiring the actuators you do this for reversing action with a momentary DPDT switch http://www.instructables.com/id/HOW-TO:-Wire-a-DPDT-rocker-switch-for-reversing-po/

or find/buy/order one of these, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001PNIJM2/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I opted for the first option as I already had some laying around...

Next I plan to add more actuators to "tilt or lower" the section that's flat on the table top so I can take it down flat to ground level. Then build a mount to try put it on the back of the lawnmower I plan to use it with for now until I get the UTV built.

For now I've been testing the actuators with (2) 12V 7.5 Ah batteries ( new salvaged) wired 24V running off 18 gauge HF test leads. I've figured out a way that when the actuators are not operating that I could charge the batteries from the lawnmowers 12V system at 12V and when the actuators are energized, it disconnects from the mower and reconnects the batteries 24V when ever the actuators are running. The other option I have is to just use the 40A 24VDC battery charger ( salvaged) I have and run it off the generator.

This is an effort in..."I think I can do this and make it work, just to see if I can do it." Not to mention having a light weight side mower would be nice to have a round the farm. It might cut down on the walking and weed eating around here. I'm trying to get away from spraying so much weed killer. I spray it 50-100 gallons at the time when I spray depending on if I spray every ditch bank and fence line.

Curious why you made them out-rigger style? More stability? I would probably constantly be bumping my toe on them.

The height that I needed. Had I just stuck the casters on the ends of the legs, the bench would have been a bit too high to be used for outfeed support. I wasn't interested in taking the bench apart and cutting the legs down, so I did this. I haven't done much metal involving miters, so I went for the cantilevered outrigger for the experience. They aren't any more in the way than the legs themselves would be.

Looks good. I’ve had this one drawn up for a while for my welders, just no time to actually build it.

What program are you using for your drawings? Also, what did it cost to have your bumper pieces laser cut? I'm starting out in CAD/Laser cutting, so I'm still trying to figure it all out with help from the board.

I’m using QCAD, I’ve used DraftSight as well, both are limited, but do what you would want from a 2D design program.

I have my own Plasma table, it just cost me the materials.

The consistency in your welds is damn admirable. I wish I could keep it nice and even on the straights and curves.

Decided to do a little more work on the vise I had been working on a few months ago, entire thing is made from sandwiched plate and is 100% a solid hunk of steel with the exception of the slide of course...

Haha thanks guys! I've been welding pretty much my whole life. I learned when I was 10. Started TIG at 14, got a job tigging at 16 and I've been doing that ever since.

Here's some pics from last weekIMG_20180427_105152_349.jpgIMG_20180430_175230_539.jpgIMG_20180430_175230_538.jpgIMG_20180501_172134_091.jpegIMG_20180502_173826_657.jpgIMG_20180503_114347488.jpgIMG_20180503_055734839.jpgIMG_20180425_172611_291.jpeg
