^ ^ ToolMutt . . . . that C-Man crowntop propane set is sweeeeet !!!

Good thing that LPG doesn't have shelf life so if those canisters are full, that set is ready-to-go just like it was in the 70's !!! ;)

I'd still KEEP the canisters once there empty . . . just because they're Cool !!

Wow, cool thread.

I don't really photograph my stuff, but I have a good deal of Craftsman. Just picked up an old portable tool box for $5.00, probably the best $5.00 I've spent in who knows how long.

Full set of Craftsman combination wrenches, and a set of the SK made Craftsman Professional wrenches (which I love). Various sockets, breaker bar, etc.

Just last Sunday I sanded out a replacement hood for my Ford Ranger truck with my grandfathers orbital (dual action) Craftsman sander.

Some good tools.

Say notlob you wouldn't happen to have an extra of those Craftsman calipers that functions well you'd be willing to let go would you?

If memory serves me right those were made in West Germany?!

Got this recently. Funny story. I had been looking at this thread, and thought about the toolbox my brother and I had when we were kids. Same crown top, was the first toolbox we had. Asked him if he still had it, which he did. Then he told me he just pick up another, and I could have it. Not sure if I will restore it or leave the patina. It's pretty rough. Lid looks to have been forced a little too far open, had to straighten the back. Also noticed my dad's old tape measure is a crown top. The locking tab doesn't work anymore, but it was his, so I keep it.

Here's my wet grinder, fresh from an estate sale. Model 109.66220. It came with a more modern Westinghouse 1/4 hp motor, but when I get it installed and running, I'll use the old GE motor I found a month ago.

Well I just found out today the latest use of the Crown logo I have seen so far. Was buying some stuff from a guy and he had Crown logo toolbox keys but no toolbox from that era. Finally figured out they were for 1989 date coded top and bottom cabinet he had! Anybody found anything that late or later for Crown logo?

Its possible that box used old stock locks / keys, or, possibly he switched them out with old stock in the store? If you look close enough in stores, you'll still find stuff marked Sears / Craftsman, which they discontinued that logo in what, the late 80's?

My most recent estate sale find. It's a rebadged Atlas metal lathe with a 12" swing on a 54" bed. Condition is as good as it looks - paint great, but just a little dirty in places. It came with three chucks, five tool holders, and lots of tooling and raw stock. I already owned a 10" South Bend, but couldn't pass this one up for $300. I sold my SB to my buddy, and now I have this proud Crowntop in its place.

Here's one I just picked up from the Bay of Evil. At $20 it was a little high, but I've been sniped on too many of these when they finally show up over the years. The pouch was covered in grit and grease, but cleaned up quickly. The tools were in great shape.

Craftsman #9-44191 3pc Ratchet Speed Adapter Set for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive ratchets.

Picked up this little beauty a few weeks ago. Ive been looking for a floor model drill press in my area for a while that wasn't completely plastic and made in china. It will work great for i need it for. Runs very quite and true.

Not a Crowntop tool, but I picked up a 1958 Craftsman electric motor in this box at a yard sale today. Packaging is cool too!

I didn't know Craftsman electric motors were made by the Packard Electric Company! That's the same name of motor that's on my Dunlap scroll saw. Too cool.
