Organization is a personal thing. As long as you can find it then whatever works, works. Here's a couple more for you, Jeff. Not great organization I suppose... but like I said, sometimes it ends up where it makes sense or fits.
Guy at work is a plier freak, so he made me organize my plier drawer ... at both shops...![]()

Blake, what the hell is all of that dirt in your socket drawer (first picture)??
Here is home box number 3 the main one. Sorry about the light in the last picture. This is no where near all of my tools I have tons at work and in my vehicles and around the basement because I’ve outgrown all my boxes besides my work boxes and cart. But I’m a professional I’m not a weekend guy I’m a weekend guy at home but professional at work and I do enough work at home I have duplicates of pretty much everything at work plus other tools like my vintage tools at home. Once I clean out the basement more I plan on buying another box or cart to put down there to have. Hopefully I’ll build a garage and pave my driveway soon too so I could wheel it out easier or have it right there haha.
It’s all the dust and dander I’m guessing from the dog and stuff. I really need to clean it I’m just so lazy.Blake, what the hell is all of that dirt in your socket drawer (first picture)??
@2ndGearRubber How long have you been wrenching? You have a great collection there- need to work on the polishing if you’re going to post pics in GJ!![]()
I’m just giving you a hard time, I like seeing real toolboxes and the tools that are used for work. A drawerful of 300 sockets that have turned a few dozen bolts isn't that exciting. Also enjoy your posts and insights of an auto tech.Yeah, I know. It's always a wreck. It's really hard to keep things pretty when you work out of it every day. Some things like screwdrivers and the misc drawer there isnt a good way to organize with the space required. Crazy enough I can tell you where anything is in the box. Mostly I dont work out of it, my cart has enough to do most things.

Seeing all your specially tools really makes me glad I went with motorcycles, don't get me wrong, I have plenty invested but I generally work on one brand and the scan tool is supplied by the dealer.Yeah, I know.
