If you still have the set
You're lucky I got pissed off at eBay and I haven't been flipping anything lately. :)
could you take a pic of the inside label so we can read it
Sure thing.

Made by Greenfield Tap and Die for sure. The red label is exactly like the GTD sets, in color, text, layout, etc, and all the taps are marked "O.K." which is GTD branding. Just like some of the socket sets from the same era, where it's not at all uncommon to find a New Britain piece mixed in to the set, one of the dies is marked /G\T/D\. It's funny how they didn't try to hard to re-brand it for them, using the same plain font on the label, and even putting the CRAFTSMAN name in quotes, which is where their in-house "O.K." branding would be.

I don’t know the significance of the N marking on your wrench but I have some newer wrenches with N markings. The V might indicate that the wrench was supplied by Moore Drop Forge.

We found a pretty good haul of Long C Craftsman tools at a Gardnerville, NV estate sale yesterday morning. My wife spotted the 1/4” drive tools which came with two ratchet plugs which I almost never see. I’ll be spending today going through them and doing some cleanup.

Dang Don, that’s a good haul of the early stuff. Those amber handle saws were sold with the deluxe amber handle big set. To find 2 drive plugs is also pretty neat. Great find!

Here are more of the Long C tools from yesterday. The reason the BE 1/4” drive ratchet had two plugs is that some of the sockets were 3/8” drive and the others 1/4” drive.

I added the BE 1/2” drive tools to the others.IMG_0067.jpeg

Anybody near Pennsylvania? Got a lead on a fairly rare Craftsman machinery related item. Too far from me but figured I'd pass it on. :) Shoot me a message if so.

Of course it’s in Pennsylvania 😉. It’s almost laughable the amount of good stuff that pa has that is considered commonplace👍

Always lol. I see stuff I'd kill for go for pennies on the dollar at auctions in the NE. One of these days I'm gonna get brave enough to start using uship or something

Here's a pretty cool 3/8 drive BE set. Really fighting the urge to get back into collecting craftsman so that being said. Although not really for sale I would try my best to part with it if someone does really want it to maybe fill a series or something and sends me an offer or something in private messages. I'm really not super knowledgeable about craftsman but this set doesn't seem to be very common since I still haven't seen another one in my searches.

Bump for anybody in/near Pennsylvania. This is at an estate auction near there. PM me for the link. No relation to the sale, but I've only ever seen one other of these cabinets...needs to go to someone who appreciates it :)

Comes with a lovely late 30s Atlas Craftsman saw as well, ha.

Found this a couple of weeks ago. One flap is torn off (shown in the pic), but otherwise NOS, still all the original cardboard. Figured I would use it for decoration, unless someone else wants it.

Haven't looked up age yet.
