Went to a sale in Salem, ad said old tools (among other cool things) not much of interest, but he had a whole ton of brace bits, and I found two that were interesting. Pretty sure I know a guy in Portland who would be interested in these!
Those should clean up nice! You know every once in a while I manage to get a couple of pieces of craftsman from him and he does get some plomb from me[emoji16] he gave me a good crown top carry box for a tool kit I am assembling as a graduation gift!

Saws, chisels, and hand planes are in the same category as fly rods or old radios for me. Three times in the last year I have run into a batch of antique wooden moulding planes. I stood there blessing my luck, admiring the fanciful mfgr's names etched into the ends, seeing dollar signs, but passed in the end because I just don't enough about them.Lug: I totally understand.
I suspect your instincts were excellent. If a saw guy out there doesn't immediately know who the OEM was in those years from research, I bet he could identify it by the features on the wooden handle alone.I grabbed it because of the logo.
I got one last weekend as well with a another circle h extension. Mine is rougher shape.Craftsman Circle-H 1/2" drive, 20" long extension. It's the first one I've ever seen. When it came up on eBay, I snapped it up for $18.99 + shipping.

Some guy had 3 very nice 1/2" drive BE deep sockets at the swap this morning, 7/8, 1 1/16" and a 1 1/8", but he wanted $2 each. There was also what looked to be a very nice and old Husky 1/2" drive deep 1/2" socket as well.
Just picked up at a estate sale for the very reasonable price of $1!
That looks awesome BMW!
MJB, what drive size is that one? Great deal in any case!
It's a 1/2 incher.
The long c below is missing a guard tool rest eye shields and other bits. Question- could this work as a buffer @ 1/3 HP?
Man, that looks good ! I like the sweaty look on vintage tools. Looks like you just cleaned everything well . Is the stand original ? It looks delta but maybe they made that lathe ?

Considering the going rate for those deep sockets on eBay (just try finding one socket shipped for under $5), $2 each is a bargain - especially if they're not engraved!

Outlaw- you think converting to a light duty buffing rig would be too much hassle?
