ITC (Harbor Freight Inside Track Club) has a coupon for 30% off anything under $20 this weekend. That makes the boxes less than 12 bucks. I still haven't come up with a good use for a second one, so I'll probably pass. I don't have excessive empty space just waiting for a little toolbox, and I have a few empty drawers in the big toolboxes since the last purge.
I also see they have Slate Gray which matches my boxes. . . just when I thought I was satisfied, the slight bit of OCD kicks in. . .

red HF box received damaged as a secret Santa gift. brought to the store and swapped out by the manager for a green one. so far so good, holding punches and odds and ends for tinkering. still unsure of its purpose yet.

I've got a teal snap-on bottom box, it does a pretty good job holding a selection of 1/4" ratchets, sockets, and accessories. I'll agree with the consensus that the 'rails' ****, and overall it was a terrible value purchase. I am a sucker for the paintjob though

Finally bought what I'm pretty sure was the last OD Green one at Sam's Club in the Christmas leftovers (most were white or pink).

Hoping Lowe's has some of the highlighter pink ones left over.

I started on Gridfinity, and I think this is gonna be my second to get trays in each drawer (alongside my Kobalt top mini toolbox). I haven't done my US General yet due to it having drawer liners that I don't want to mess up.

This is the most bins I've got in any yet.

When I saw these on Vevor I knew I had to have them. Also had to have the tiny SnapOn badges I saw on Ebay to replace the Vevor badges. Crappy boxes but they match my 1988 SnapOn's. Throw in the SnapOn promo tape measure since it matches too. :)

Wow those are straight up the same as the snap-on boxes, with the logo swapped. Good to know I can get a pair of vevors for ~$65, when ebay sellers want $150 each for top and bottom stack.

I have extra tiny SnapOn emblems if you need them. The Ebay guy sold them as a 6 pack.

Got a link to the build details? I wonder how much work went into making it not sound like a speaker in a rattling tin can?

I just saw something on FB. There is a company that 3d prints a kit to turn a mini-toolbox into a mini tool cart:

https://miniboxmods.com/

They seem to be out of stock but I just thought that they are a cute accessory to a cute toolbox.

I have a White Kobalt mini on my dresser holding personal items so I'm not hating on the boxes in general.

Cheers

Jim

I still say there is a market for this old Craftsman design.

Anybody at HF following this site?
I think the same thing, they never last and go for good money.

As far as HF following along, yeah, thought that same damn thing too.

I wanted to find one years ago when I started at the FD. I was going to mount one in my bunkergear locker. However, I never found one for a decent price.
