I love these boots. I have worn through three pairs, and have one left. The toe always wears out on me, from kneeling down to swing lift arms in and out at work. I got 4 pairs brand new when we went through my grandpa in-laws estate. He had a collection of new boots he was given when he worked rigs in the southern states. He brought them back to Canada and just held onto them. I don't know if I can get that same boot here, but I am going to have to start looking soon!

I'm in BC, you can get them but they are expensive. I got the last pair at a local store that doesn't look like they'll be stocking them anymore. $180, which is reasonable compared to what another local store is selling them for, they were up to $279. With our dollar getting crushed, it'll only get worse.

I think I lost mine today, second I've owned in about 5 years (first one got a perfect dent that wouldn't let the second battery out). I carry one with me at all times.

Bought one for the home box a couple of months ago, still brand new, and now moving to my pocket.

EDIT:
Found it! The old next to the new...

I used to carry those. Now I carry a led lenser a15 or a20

From 94-2000 I worked for what became (at the time) the largest Toro dealer in the northeastern US. We sold literally thousands of those. That machine is a 1997 model, by the serial number, and appears to have been used severely. I have never seen the rubber worn off the tires on one of those. As long as they got mixed gas, they ran forever. I believe I remember short blocking 2-3 of them back in the day, due to straight gas. That entire line with the power curve, the Powerlite, CCR2000 and CCR3000 were extremely robust machines. Scraper bars, paddles and occasionally a belt were really the only wear items, and as of a year ago when I last bought some, all were still available from Toro. I strongly recommend OEM parts, the aftermarket stuff never seemed to last as long, especially the paddles. My father bought one in 1993. He's still using it.

Just curious what dealership you worked at?

I love my Bosch 12v stuff, so tiny yet still has oomph.

I sold all my Milwaukee M12 stuff after getting the brushless screwdriver, then I picked the the LED light, and imported the rotary tool as well. I'm really lusting after their mini brushless angle grinder, that might be my next imported tool. Jigsaw looks awesome and brushless drywall screwgun look great as well.

Love mine too. I got the brushless drill first and it was awesome. So I go the 12v impact driver a few month ago and its great. My wife gave me the LED light and recip saw for christmas and my mom got me the 12v radio. Love it!

I like good boots, but it seems like $300 is the new $200...

What do you guys have to pay for a pliers wrench off a tool truck, if you don't mind me asking?

I gave my guy $58 $10 premium over what Amazon charges. I figure that was fair since he went through the trouble of bringing it to me and I was already buying body saw blades.

I was surprised it was cheaper from the snap on guy than the napa commercial sales guys flier.

Hi
I was thinking of the M12 CIW38 impact 158nm/23nm,
is it not very good ???
I have the 18v Bosch GDX 18 V-EC impact 185nm/100nm/44nm but it is a bit to big for the bike.
but the Bosch 3/8 impact looks a bit under powered 115nm/???.
can not find the lower power setting for the Bosch.

What do you think ????
Thanks jeff

I was constantly having the same issue. Worn in comfortable boots but i only needed to replace because of a hole in the toes. I started using these. They look a little funny but extended the life of my work boots.

Oh lookie what I got for $28 from PrincessAuto!

$16 for the Japanese Crystaline clear handles (down from $40) and $12 for the Dual-tone soft grips (down from $30, Thai). Now I'm waiting for the 10pc SuperCushions set to go on liquidation!! Wouldn't mind another set of the Megadoras either if I can find one..

The Megadora set I bought last year was nothing short of amazing. I'd bet these will be just as good.

The acetate handle is coloured from inside the handle, not painted on like the Fuller/Husky/Craftsman acetate handles. The Dualtones are very nice too, not many manufacturers "blend" the handle colours like Vessel do.

Snap On 3/8 drive metric set from a craigslist deal. Was slightly upset, the package was new and unopened in the picture. When I get there the dude says sorry I had to open it and use one socket. I looked them all over and I couldn't tell which he had used. He was asking $300 but I talked him down to $200 since he had opened it. I was happy at that. Then upon closer inspection I notice that the shallow 19mm is a 6 point where all the others are 12 point. My guess is that he either lost or broke the 12 point and replaced it. Not a big deal, but I will swap it out with the correct one just to satisfy my OCD.

^california is the worst.... some people want more than retail for stuff.

Then I try to sell Knipex and snap-on stuff and some charming bloke had the audacity to say I was pricing a ($50 new) pair of pliers at $10 was wayyyy too much.

I've seen a product called tuff toe while I looked at your link. Looks like a rubberized epoxy you put on the outside of the toe. I might give that a go. Both options seam decent.

Went to a some what local tool store they have everything you could think. Most of the stuff they have is USA made. Berlands house of tools. Picked these impact gloves up.

Also after I paid I noticed they had a sweatshirt with their logo and some type of fraise on it. I remember it was a picture of a cave man holding a power drill. "Were tools have evolved" either way it was a nice fruit of the loom extra cotton sweatshirt for 5 bucks. Not going to let that slide. Marked down from like 25 or something

Sounds like here in Hawaii but they want to sell used stuff for near retail even in poor condition then want stuff from garage sales for free.

Went to home depot to grab an angle protractor to use for some headers I'm building, walked out with this ryobi band saw. Fits on the bench I made out of an old bathroom cabinet so I can roll it outside when I have metal shavings or sawdust flying. I did get the protractor too...
