Yes. That is an 02 Lance.

Could not find pic of "air arc" or "carbon arc"....(how to remove stainless or inconel in a hurry)...

Lawd knoz! I done my share of "carbon arc".....
I was working near the base of one of the lower Columbia river dams many years ago. One day, they bored holes through 4-6' of reinforced concrete using lances. It was amazing how fast it went, and the holes looked like they were lined in glass.

It was also amazing to watch the lances burn faster than the holes.

My 9yr old grandbubby is up for a week. Dude loves building snap together stuff but mom and dad pretty much **** at helping him keep his kits together. So papa hooked him up with a legit method thus welcoming him into the world of grownup man tools today.

Good you did that. Kids benefit so much from assembling things and tinkering with them. There is not enough of that these days as screen time and computer games grab so much attention. I hope that you are successful in helping his interests develop.

Good one. Only in the USA are firepits surrounded by mini-chain link fences plastered with warnings that should be obvious.

Have we become so lawyer dominated or just that dumb relative to other places? Yikes.
From experience working at a restaurant/pub, parents do not want to waste any time supervising their children when in public. But they won't hesitate to sue if their brats get hurt from being unsupervised.

This has changed a lot in the thirty years or so I've worked here--parent once cared about their offspring's behavior in public. Now they're feral children, free to do anything they like regardless how it impacts others or themselves.

Yup. I knew a woman who was a high school guidance counselor. She told me things changed radically where a sizeable fraction of parents (~20%?) of kids in trouble would go after the schools rather than their misbehaving kids and threaten the schools with lawsuits, violence, etc. Surreal. As a somewhat old timer now, when I was in high school in the 80s even the bad kids would worry about trouble with their parents rather than sick their parents on their teachers and school. That would have been almost unheard of in the 80s. So things have gotten worse by these measures.

Sometimes I feel like people who do stupid things to get injured view it as a potential lottery rather than get embarrassed about whatever they did.

A guy hit my truck a month ago and due to odd MI no-fault insurance could get out of paying and he chose to do that while only complaining on his deductible while trying to leave me a $5k body work bill for his mistake. But what really got to me, it the sob never even said sorry for the mistake. I cannot imagine doing that to anyone. I looked up his address and he lives in a $650k home in an area where the average home cost might be $175k. Boils my blood.

The tire gage is for my house; I’ve been doing a lot of tire inflating for cars and bikes and wanted something nicer than the Milton stuff I have.
Do you have or have you used the digital ones from Milton? I have an analog Milton gauge at home and a PLC digital gauge for work. I have been debating getting the Snap-On myself.

More stuff I came across that I needed for work came in today.

The E8 I needed to remove the air flow sensor on newer Toyota forklifts. The TR25 is needed for taking apart the mixer and EPR. I guess Toyota doesn't want people messing with those for some reason.

I have needed a heavier-duty pick tool to dig out debris and rust from around recessed bolts on the bottom of forklifts a few times recently so that is what the Wilde pick tool is for.

I'm not going to put links for these but I asked too much of a Lang M10 X 1.25 rethreader tap and die so I bought replacements from Lang.

This set of Astro (78311) 1/2 size sockets just arrived today. Been eyeballing them ever since getting their half-size lug nut socket set last year. Been more than a few times in the past where they would have been nice to have for really rusty or just really poor quality fasteners ...

Also grabbed a pair of Shu-Bee Ugly Gloves. These were recommended to me after I mentioned I'd went through quite a few pairs of heavy leather gloves snaking my drains recently. These are supposed to be more suited for that nasty job.

EDIT: And I also got a set of these Lang extra long pin punches (appear to be OEM for Matco PPXL pin punches) that were brought up in this recent thread. Not a bad deal when you can catch them on sale for under $45. The ones with the Matco name on them go for more than $200.

It's proooobably not what Snap On is using, but it could be what Milton uses -- a few years I enthusiastically switched over to a $13 digital gauge head for my TP gauge/hose setup, but the thing just ate batteries, no matter what I did. Rechargeables possibly problem? I tried lithiums. Nope, still gobbled. I went back to my analog gauge, it only needs air pressure to work.

Cotter pin pullers have many uses! Pulling pins, fishing out loose nuts, line up tool, tugger and mover of things, and nowadays.... trampoline spring puller?

Needed a jack low enough to get under the vette

IMG_3186.jpeg
Got one several years ago (blue in color)...

Right handy jack...and goes up fairly high.

Only issue? Is I have pea gravel on my drive way....guessing? Need to get a keg of beer, fire up the smoker & have a GJ party!

Actually, have thought of a 20' x 10' x 6" pad across the front of the garage......

I got two Sockets today to fix my new wera tool check. A 14mm for my Toyota an an 11mm to handle 7/16” stuff. Only had to ditch the 5.5mm to fit them in. I also got rid of the security torx and most of the posidrive bits in favor of sae hex and Robertson bits. Should be ready to tackle most anything now.

I went to Lowe’s this morning to pick up some materials for an upcoming job and ended up getting these as well. Both were on sale for $99 each.

When I returned home, I found that the FedEx guy had been there and left me a present. I ordered this last week to replace a 18v DeWalt rotary laser that I bought back in the 2000s. Recently, my helper backed into the tripod with his truck, knocking it over and causing the laser to give up the ghost. It had worked flawlessly for about 20 years and it was money well spent. If the Bosch lasts as long as the DeWalt did, it will outlast me!

I just ordered one 10" Pferd in each of medium and coarse.

I'm just a little disappointed to find that the State of California says I shouldn't eat or breathe the files.
You’re in Oregon, you’re safe. Only cause cancer in CA.
Schumacher battery brush, $4.69 Amazon USA, China.

There are some things I'll putting in my road bag that I'll have no qualms about giving away when I encounter someone in need.

"I don't know how even a blockhead like you made it this far in life without a battery brush, so take this, and I'll be on my way, ya damned numbskull." (Burn rubber)
world’s worst fleshlight. 0/5 stars do not recommend.

Roboto. . . That's how I shop HF, too. If it's on sale when I need it, great. HF is too far to make a special trip though. HF's good stuff is convenient and reasonably priced, even when not on sale.

Yes exactly. If it's something I need and it's on SOME form of sale, that's usually enough for me to feel good about my purchase. I just don't have the time otherwise.
