All GP's I've ever seen are laser etched only. No roll stamping.

where did you get those boots? Ive been thinking about the oakley slip-ons but if these are cheaper....

"Boots4All" on Ebay. $85 shipped straight from Australia, and showed up in 3 business days. Just make sure to read the measurement chart on the bottom of the ebay page. I knew my size since I bought my first set off of the Matco truck, but had to measure for my lady's set.

That's very nice. I never.knew Stanley made a set like that. I knew they had a professional grade hand black chrome tools, but never seen a set like that. Very nice.

I'm trying to grow from a tire tech to something better at work; hopefully this will help. Shipped so quick from ToolTopia, ordered it Saturday morning and it was delivered this morning.

Also paid off my box (SO Classic 96) last week, so I bought a vice and some scrap MDF. We somehow don't have a vice in my 12-bay shop..... So I also bought a bike lock and ghetto-fabbed up a lock for the vice.

^^^^^that work light *****. I'll be honest it is horrible. It doesn't last very long and doesn't light up your work area very well. For a cheap light I'm going back to a corded florescent which is ten times better

I've had that work light for 4 or 5 years and have had good luck with it. It did spiderweb when I got gasoline on the lens though.

Facom ratchet brand new, quick story, lad I work with had a mac torque wrench that failed,last year , he rtn'd it and waited and waited no wrench came back, he was patient and waited a bit longer the mac man contacted his office and after some to'ing and froming it turned out they had lost it, now at this point nearlly 6 months had passed and my work colleague had bought a snappy wrench, today mac come in with

so hes got a brand new facom torque wrench and I want it, so he let me have it for £75.00. Wohooo a £265.0 wrench for £75.0 happy dance time

GearWrench Metric flare wrench set. I ordered the SAE set off of Amazon but they sent the wrong set. Was going to send them back until I noticed that they are supposed to be $45.00 and I only paid $30.00.

Also Astro Pneumatic Chisel and punch set. Not sure how they'll hold up but for $20, who cares.

Lang 5/8" magnetic spark plug socket. Hate the rubber boots in most plug sockets.

If those easy red drivers are ball hex my local advanced auto has a set on clearance for $25 or so. Really wanted to get them then I seen coo. I'm guess someone ordered them and didn't want them for that reason or another. Nice buy though

The kiwi pliers feel pretty good i couldn't resist them for $11 they'll get tested at work tomorrow though.

I always forget to take before pics, but here is the after:

A 27" hunk of railroad rail. I don't do much metal work, but sometimes you just gotta have something to beat on.

Was really rusty. I took the wire wheel to it, painted the sides. Left the top bare, since it would get pounded off anyway, and don't have to worry about paint transferring to whatever I am working on. Will just rub it down with WD-40 every now and then.

Now to find somewhere to put it.

Why the hell didn't I think of that! Drained and refilled my front Dana 60 a couple days ago, I took me an hour to fill with turkey baster (didn't have my flexible funnel at home). I was fondly remembering how quick it was to fill truck axles at the old shop...

I feel the same way. Definitely worth ~$100 - 120, but not double that, as it's a budget line that's now approaching the cost of their better drivers.

Wiha's prices have been steadily climbing, and it's to the point they may no longer be worth it (depending on the tool).

QC seems to be slipping as well based on recent screwdriver purchases (suspect they're taking full advantage of the "Made in Germany" requirements, which is quite lax; 20% content or "significant transformation", which means a single process can be performed on an imported product and still qualify).

New ones I have just don't fit as tightly as they should, and they not remotely worn out (barely any signs of wear on the steel, if any). Tips are painted, which is coming off (Drive-Loc bits in both System 6 & System 4). To be expected of course, but it's the fit that's bothering me (need the tight fit to hold screws to get into deep recesses; can't magnetize due to sensitivity of the electronic equipment they're installed in).

They're nice otherwise, but I expect more from Wiha given the prices (or any other top tier tool maker, no matter where the hell it's made).

End rant.
