A lot of the newer Snap On doesn't say USA. It's still USA.

Or is it?![]()
I'm all for buying made in USA stuff but I actually really like my made in Spain snap-on adjustable. The handle is nice (when you use it a lot, that is a big deal) and it has "teeth" on the end that really grabs the fasteners.Just got this today a hard to find made in USA FAD12 now there made in SpainFound it on Ebay for 55$
, this completes my set after it was stolen about 6 months ago.

Decided to inventory my latest order. Only thing missing is the 3/4" set which is on backorder at the moment.

The lone puller is a cj92 battery terminal puller. The set in the upper right is a cj93b.
I like that terminal puller, right now I use the 5/16 wrench to pry them off...
The only problem with the pass through socket set is torquing the nut to spec. I guess you could use a crows foot on your torque wrench
That's why I bought it, I don't like the idea of poking a hole or cracking the top of a battery at all.

You use a hex key/bit/socket to hold the piston while you loosen/tighten the nut with the cut-out socket.
They've now been superceded with pass-through sockets:

I have it on good authority that Snap-On made them in China when they weren't stamped U.S.A.![]()

Do you happen to know what size BMW uses for theirs, is it 22mm? Does that socket come in different sizes or is the size standard at 22MM?
It varies between model and front/rear.
My set has 16/17/18/19/21/22 i think. You can buy that set through VW dealers or from Hazet but it's very expensive. Even the individual parts are expensive.

I believe you are correct indeed they are expensive! As I recall on the early 80"s BMWs they are around 19 but the later ones are 21 or so. Thanks for the reply and info![]()
4 foot level, german bosch (has a nice weight to it), Ideal plier, 2-R2 insulated screwdrivers, and the largest vise I own now
