This wasn't UPS. It came from the shop into the garage at home via a girl that can likely kick most of our asses :) We try to build, rather than buy.

I converted all of my connectors over to those HF high flows (7 pkgs) a few months ago and thought I would be happy with them. Half of them leak air, and I honestly can't tell much, if any difference over my standard 3/8 fittings. Plus they are heavy and often hard to connect. I'm thinking of switching back to my old ones by using two different air lines and just use the high flows where they might (?) do the most good! Better quality brands are just way too expensive! Home Depot has their Husky branded aluminum set that I also thought I might give a try. $15 for similar 4 pc set.

Where's the leak?

Even w/ the cheapest of cheap couplers, I've never had leaks at the actual interface coupling itself, only the threads, which you can probably say is user error. They are really hard to connect/disconnect though, and I think they're the cause of my flow issues as well.

Why did You get the HF ones if you already had 3/8 ones?

They are leaking at the interface. I used teflon tape on the threads and have double checked more than once. When I wiggle the connector while connected, the air leak flow changes. I've been using quick connect couplers for 35 years and can assure you it's not user error!

I purchased them because the manual for my new Devilbiss GFG-670 spray gun suggests to use high flow connectors. I felt that if I was going to change some, I might as well change them all. Plus, research before buying them led me to believe I would see an improvement with all my air tools, but that hasn't really been the case in my experience so far. I haven't used the gun yet, but as stated earlier, I might just use a designated hose with high flows for the gun only, and switch everything back to the standard 3/8" connectors just for ease of use and no leaks.

Edit: I'm not suggesting that all high flows are a problem. My only experience is with the Harbor Freight high flows, and I wish I had chosen a better brand to invest in. Fortunately I only have about $50 invested in mine.

Finally getting around to posting my latest purchases:

I have had the swiss grips for about 4 months and so far they have been amazing. Much better than the Williams set they replaced.

After hearing about people being disappointing with Knipex needle nose, I went with the 28 21 200, which looked to be a more robust design. I haven't gotten to use them yet, but the tips line up perfect and they seem pretty stiff.

I bought this snap on box for $800 at a pawn shop, it was full of Craftsmen US wrenches and Snap On Pry Bars. I have since hit ebay and filled it with snap on wrenches and Wright Tool wrenches. The packages keep coming in daily been like the 12 days of Christmas around here.

A couple weeks ago, I purchased from Frankstools the Anex 1/4" drive, hex and Phillips (#2 and #3), damaged fastener remover impact driver set. I paid about $65 total with shipping (including a 10% discount given during the sale). Here are some pictures:

An A.P. belt sander. I have been wanting one of these for a while.
Some more clamps, doing auto body, you just can't have enough.
and some Roto-broach bits. Ya gotta keep a few back ups on hand.

I snagged the last 1/2" drive and last 3/8" drive Hansen socket organizers in my local Sears for $18 total. No pictures until they're in my toolbox with all my sockets on there.

Dunno if these just came out or what but it's the 1st time I've ever seen them on the Snappy truck and picked them up on a scratch n' dent discount as you can see by the pic, it's the BluePoint AP12 Adjustable Joint Pliers. In addition to that I got a couple xmas gifts for myself; ABN 4054 hose clamps and an Astro Pneumatic 7848 brake tool set.

Our Christmas was Christmas eve. I was wanting a dead blow hammer but did not expect this. The Cee Tee's are new old stock she found on eBay. The air pressure gauge she found at a junk sale, Wow.
I had a great Christmas

Wished we had those stores out here west..

Carquest is in your area I believe. Same thing. Advance owns Carquest. In my area we don't have Advance either but I get Advance emails and sometimes I have to show the folks at CarQuest the ad on my phone to get the sales price but they have to honor it.

You can also order from Advance online. I believe I've seen mention that they have been having a new set or tool from GearWrench at half price every month.

I got a dual persuasion adjustable wrench for Christmas. I have another one of these and I may keep them separate so they don't get into each other's drawers.
I got my brother-in-law an extension cord for his Christmas gift. He can play with the female end and threaten my sister with the male end.

That Snap On 1/4 driver is nice, do you know if they also make it with a longer shaft for those hard to reach places?? Also which BMW do you have that has the M44 late E30 or E36?
