I converted all of my connectors over to those HF high flows (7 pkgs) a few months ago and thought I would be happy with them. Half of them leak air, and I honestly can't tell much, if any difference over my standard 3/8 fittings. Plus they are heavy and often hard to connect. I'm thinking of switching back to my old ones by using two different air lines and just use the high flows where they might (?) do the most good! Better quality brands are just way too expensive! Home Depot has their Husky branded aluminum set that I also thought I might give a try. $15 for similar 4 pc set.

They are leaking at the interface. I used teflon tape on the threads and have double checked more than once. When I wiggle the connector while connected, the air leak flow changes. I've been using quick connect couplers for 35 years and can assure you it's not user error!

I purchased them because the manual for my new Devilbiss GFG-670 spray gun suggests to use high flow connectors. I felt that if I was going to change some, I might as well change them all. Plus, research before buying them led me to believe I would see an improvement with all my air tools, but that hasn't really been the case in my experience so far. I haven't used the gun yet, but as stated earlier, I might just use a designated hose with high flows for the gun only, and switch everything back to the standard 3/8" connectors just for ease of use and no leaks.

Edit: I'm not suggesting that all high flows are a problem. My only experience is with the Harbor Freight high flows, and I wish I had chosen a better brand to invest in. Fortunately I only have about $50 invested in mine.

Finally getting around to posting my latest purchases:

I have had the swiss grips for about 4 months and so far they have been amazing. Much better than the Williams set they replaced.

After hearing about people being disappointing with Knipex needle nose, I went with the 28 21 200, which looked to be a more robust design. I haven't gotten to use them yet, but the tips line up perfect and they seem pretty stiff.

Carquest is in your area I believe. Same thing. Advance owns Carquest. In my area we don't have Advance either but I get Advance emails and sometimes I have to show the folks at CarQuest the ad on my phone to get the sales price but they have to honor it.

That Snap On 1/4 driver is nice, do you know if they also make it with a longer shaft for those hard to reach places?? Also which BMW do you have that has the M44 late E30 or E36?
