Does anyone know when they stopped using this logo and moved to the current logo? That would help in narrowing down it's birthdate.
1966, when Emerson acquired the company.
Nice job.

Hi guys a question for you experts. Why don't we see more of those pipe wrenches that are offset at 90 degrees? They saved my *** one time when the drain pipe was real close to the walls in a corner. I could not get any of my pipe wrenches into that tight spot. Now remember this I was not a pro plumber but had to solve this problem, went to the store and discovered this 90 degree offset wrench. Let me tell you it made the work alot easier. A DRAMA queen would tell it saved her life, but let's not go there. So it surprises me that me doi not see many posted. DAH?

They can save your bacon, but they are a bit "slower", if you can believe that, than the regular wrenches. With everyday use, you get "used" to them.
Does that make sense?

The Big one
Some of my Ridgid collection, 6" to 36" pipe wrenches, strap wrench, chain wrench, hand threader and dies, reamer and 4 wheel cutter
I needed a pair for a pluming project. I told my wife I wanted an 18" and 24" pair of Ridgid wrenches, but that would be expensive for how often I would use them. So...she went out and found the exact wrenches at an auction for $5 each. Cleaned the dust and old pipe dope off of them, and put on some grease to keep the jaws from rusting.
If I want to sell some of my collection, is it best to leave them dirty and sweaty or clean them up nice?
