That S-K display I posted has a price tag of $193.45 on it. I saw it at the "Tool Shop" in Westland, Mi. They have a website, if you are interested. I've bought a ton of tools at that place, and sold a few, too.

My SK collection is pretty weak.. I only have a 1/4" ratchet and socket combo then an older 1/4" ratchet that belong to my grandfather years ago, which is what made me get the new set.

I did however find an SK Wayne 3/8" ratchet at a swap meet last weekend for $2. Bought it just because. A little research showed it to be from 1964-1968.

I got up this morning, drove 2 hours, got there 3 minutes after they opened and he sold it yesterday...:lol_hitti

I wish I knew who bought it, they could make some $$$ off me...

WOW Zoomie, that is an excellent collection. Very very nice.

That's too bad-but he still had a whole bunch of other NOS S-K stuff, and a whole store full of other interesting stuff. Did you find anything else there?

It's a cool place for sure and the guy that works there is cool too.
We are going to do some business together, just not yesterday... he's looking for some stuff I've got, so we traded info.

Thanks again for the heads up, I really appreciate it!

Take care!!!

Hello all!

I painted (spray bombed) a tool box big enough to fit my entire 3/4" drive set into. I just ordered the:
3" Extension
8" Extension
1-9/16" socket
1-3/8" socket
1-3/16" socket
7/8" socket
13/16" socket
3/4" socket
To finish off the set. COMPLETE!

Along with painting the 3/4" drive toolbox, I added stickers and decals, I painted some screwdriver holders and put stickers on them too...
It's coming together...

Just got to keep moving and organizing...Take care!

Here are a few of my more put together SK sets. I come across quite a few SK tools around here but not many in boxes.

Hello again!

I am currently doing a total garage makeover, covering all of the walls with
"SLATWALL" and hanging most stuff on hooks for easy access, but I had to hang my SK Tool Boards this morning, I couldn't wait, I'm like a kid at Christmas!

Take Care!

Where did you find the little stickers for the screwdriver holder?

Is there any cheaper place to find a 45173 rebuild kit?
I have two 1/4 ratchets I figure it might be nice to have a small 3/8, handles look the same so I figure I could drop a anvil from the SK 45173 into a 1/4. However, HJE is $20 for a kit for it.

Had some work to do on the jeep, not really sure why I have so many 3/8 ratchets in that case.

No, people do not "find" such a thing. One might find a penny in the parking lot but never does one find 3 NOS, stocked SK tool boards. "I found"... that is freaking hilarious.

I don't want to know where you found them, because they are no longer there. I want to know HOW the hell you go about trying to find NOS SK tool boards all loaded up with tools. HOW?

Maybe someone could provide a little additional info in what i got here.

The bent flex head ratchet 3770 was found on the side of the road nearby. Some poor workman lost his ratchet and I have no way to ever reunite it with its owner. I love it although the flex head is a bit too loose for my taste.

The set with socket 45170 was in a car I bought along with other nameless tools. I also got the 3/4" wrench as well. The random sockets were mixed in another box, but i put all the SK ones together like shown. So i have a variety of 6 pt & 12 pt, Metric & SAE sockets, some rusty. Does anyone know the vintage of this SK box? The green box has a label that says Franklin Park IL, does that give a clue to vintage? Would that 45170 socket normally come with SAE sockets and the Metric ones just added? If anyone has a clue please respond. thanks

Here is the info for the pictures attached below:
3770 flex head bent handle 3/8"
45170 8" fixed head 3/8"
3/4" open/boxed end wrench

Based on the tapered retainer ledge, a row of progressively sized sockets to fit that box, would be SAE or Metric, not both. If you have a relatively complete set of SAE 6pt or 12 pt that fit there, I wouldn't doubt it a bit.

I added this from an estate sale on Friday. 3/4" drive SK sliding Tee. 18" long. No. 47153. I also got the only 3/4 drive socket which was a Proto 2-3/8, which is not may largest socket in either 3/4 or 1" drive. (The shown socket are P&C - already in the P&C thread)

thanks for your input. I checked on the sockets, they are predominantly Metric (which is my preference for the cars I maintain) but a mix of 12 pt & 6 pt with a few skips in there.

From another standpoint there is a zip code for Franklin Park IL and zip codes started in 1963 so it is definitely late 60s on.
