The majority of my tools are kit based, aka grab the box and have everything that is needed to complete a task/job.
But none of these fit the description of a drawer based kit. The closest I have fitting that description would be my accessory kits for certain tools. Prominent example, my oscillating multitool. The kit has the tool and everything needed to make cuts in wood, metal, composite/drywall and scrape. Then there are two kits that would fit a drawer: One has everything needed for sanding & dust extraction, the other kit has everything needed for tile/grout removal.
And yes, some of that leads to needing duplicate tools, but I try for variety when the basics are covered. So I have further options. Like: I have a couple of different electrical installation pliers, which all cover the same basic needs for such pliers. But they are different enough that one might get me out of a pinch over the other in certain cases. Requires stringent organization and discipline obviously.
Kind regards,
Olli
