Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback. When Altec had created this, I had thanked him and simply never looked at this thread. Part of it was because inventory was slowing,
part of it was because life turned up and I had to divert attention.
In September of 2011, I shipped off for BMT.
Two years later I am lovin' life in the USAF and still have a passion for tools
I had two goals in mind when I decided to buy and sell tools.
1) I want to learn as much as I possibly can, from the people I meet and the history behind the tools.
2) Ethics is key. Do not sacrifice quality for the bottom dollar. Every last piece of packaging, communication, and loyalty counts.
I challenge myself to meet these criteria when I sell. Sometimes I fall short of that, I will outwardly admit it. I had lots of time before I joined the military -- as a nineteen
year old who was barely part-time employed, I took the time to meticulously package items and even put in a thank-you note. Ads I placed had multiple, high resolution photos, the tools were
zip-tied to cardboard and stuffed with bubble wrap, and if the amount exceeded $100, I made sure to insure the package.
After basic, I was a twenty year old airman who sold tools to free up some cash. Primary duties come first, and sometimes I would mistakenly place myself under the gun to get products shipped whilst balancing work.
A mistake I learned from.
If you purchased and recieved tools from me from the latter half of 2012 and the start of 2013, I apologize if my packaging was a little
hasted. I made sure to stuff boxes full of newspaper, and ensured the safe arrival of your tools, but I never had time to zip-tie thing and put in thank-you notes like I did
before.
I apologize.
Let me iterate that I never had a negative feedback during that time period. Maybe because my fellow GJ brethren (and sisteren?) are so kind.
But I know and have a guilty conscience.
Fast forward to today, November of 2013. I plan to reform the Singlecut name here on GJ, go back to the level of utmost quality in packaging and communication -- Upping the ante.
I married the woman of my dreams whom I met shortly after joining the military, and we are moving into our first house this December. I will finally invest in my own computer, get my high resolution camera back in commission, and FINALLY have a garage to ship stuff out of again.
THANK YOU to all who took the time to post in this thread, and to all who ever will.
