Herb,
You arrived at the best plan of all by getting your granddaughter involved possibly. I like the crossed cannons idea.
Also wanted to say that you have nudged me over the edge in the painting department. After seeing how well your project turned out I took a hard look at how shabby my ceiling and walls are in the house garage. Call me inspired or shamed but I stopped at Menards yesterday after work and bought some gallons to get started. White for the ceiling and more white for the top half of the walls.
Wish me luck.

Thanks for the visit and best wishes on your paint project.
I like painting and the end result. On mine, moving everything and cleaning the individual items took forever! That caused max time consumption. If you followed my thread you saw the terrible condition of the walls and cabinets from the scrum the heater put out on them. Then my fall, landing on my right heel, put me out of whack for a few days.
Then reinventing the preferred layout took a lot of time.
Now that it's almost done, less some tweaking, I am VERY happy with the result.
Thanks again and I know yours will please you as well. Hope to hear how it goes!
Best Regards
Herb
