The rack replaced my air tool drawer. I also hung some other stuff off of it. I used the holes and replaced the handle with this rack made of angle iron. That now serves as the handle. I can still get through all doors in the shop. I oil all tools after each job and they go on the rack. Now I dont have air tool oil running out in the drawers.

I would have welded it one piece, but if I would ever want to take it off............that would scratch the sides bad since it fits tight. The back attaches to the sides with a single 1/4 bolt on each corner. It is rock solid. I found some angle iron in the scrap bucket, fabbed it up, welded 1/4 pipe plugs, and then I bought 14 couplers to match the shop. I have used it for about 6 months and dont regret it at all.

This by far is the coolest write up I have seen and read. I just ordered a Krcs46 and can't wait to customize it. I will post pics along the way and thanks for sharing your builds.

I got the krsc246 after doing a few months of research. My friend has the 46. It took a lot for me to justify the extra $$$ but man am I glad i did. When I pull one of his drawers open it feels tiny in comparison. Now granted, the krsc246 was intended to be my main box, not a cart. Bought the white one, love it. I'll post some pics eventually. No modding yet.

Well. I was torn between the 46 and the 246 but I decided to go with the 246. It's 4" narrower but 4"deeper and when I bought it my Snap On guy gave me a killer deal and it just happen to be in my favorite color. Electric Orange!!

Notice the 246 has a stainless steel top, two 2", two 4" and two 6" drawers.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this thread. It helped me deciding on a great tool cart and modding to my liking.

I've added the power strip and cord wrap so far. I plan on swapping the top drawer for two 2" drawers. I've also ordered the adapter panel so I can add a side box later on. I would love a snap on side box but $1200 is a little much lol. I might just find a lower grade box to install but don't know how well it would fit or look.

As far as I've measured, the HF end cab will fit with the adapter plate. Although it's red... I'm also in the same predicament. I'd love to get the matching SO colored end cab but 1200$ is almost what I paid for my cart. I'd be better off buying another cart for a few hundred more.

Does anyone know if they still make stainless steel drawer guard? If so, part# please.

I see they have carbon fiber version, but I don't want that.

Look like KRSC46 is being discontinued.

I could only find the carbon fiber guards. I'd like the stainless also cause my other box has them. The carbon fiber would look good but not for what they ask for them. I would also like to see if they have or some one knows a idea to add a pry bar holder to the sliding top model.

This is just a KRA4107 with a different top, corner guards and 4" drawer in place of the 2" ones. The drawers for the KRA4107 are the same, so the drawer guards are the same too. If you buy a set, you'll just end up with an extra.
KADG4107 for the brushed, KADGP4107 for the polished.

Where did you see they are being discontinued? I'm planning on buying one when I start school in fall.

Just looked on SO's website and didn't see the '46. I hope it's either a problem with the site, or my impatience trying to find stuff there. I don't like the sliding tops, and I think I want something bigger than a 326.

before it does not eve show up anymore, I remember seeing as "item not available".

if they are still making it, they should bring back top rubber mat too.

I went with royal blue to match my Classic 78 and the rest of my garage. I really wanted a KRSC10 but snap on no longer offers it. I am not sure if I am going to like the flip top but I thought I would give it a try. I wanted a really small cart to move around the shop.

I really like this thread as it has been giving me some great ideas for my KRSC326.

Does anyone know if you have to drill the holes for the SO 6007K0120PV cord wrap? I have a white KRSC43.

I just typed my cart number in and it shows it still available. I'd find it hard for them to discontinue this cart, it's a great seller.

Does anybody have one of these in Candy Apple Red? I think in this post there are some Extreme Green ones and I'm between those to colors! Pics of a Candy Apple Cart would be great if someone has one!

Well as I posted earlier I was kinda set on Candy Apple Red after friends thought go with Red...but originally was set on Extreme Green. So as luck would have it....looked at Craigslist one last time and there is was. Brought is home for $800 and very happy with it - will fit my needs well and ready to order some 'extra's' now!

Can anyone tell me what the four holes/bolts are for in the lid? I'm thinking maybe it was used to mount a monitor?

I bought a used KRSC40 recently in Royal Blue. Finally got done cleaning it up, will post some pics tomorrow. Is the 46 drawers 6 inches longer than the 40s? Looks like not much is available for the 40 anymore.

Added an old Mac side cabinet, It fits well. It was a gift so I wasn't turning it down. I love the extra space

Besides the snap on rubber top, What is everyone else running as a protective top/work surface? I picked up an extreme green 46, 2 weeks ago off CL for $525 along with S.O. 3 pry bars, brand new set of snap ring pliers, new torx bits, and fll80 ratchet. After what I consider a cheap score I hate to spend $300ish on a top. (Pics coming soon)

actually top mat is discontinued according to the website.

Well that stinks, I was counting on this as a clean alternative if I couldn't come up with something nice. I wonder what they will replace it with?

What are these two threaded holes for in the top? Also the guys that have the 'Snap On' decal on the raised panel in their boxes, does anyone have a part # for that? Thanks.
