I needed some music to make the day go a little faster.
8750c270eb05907.jpg

Bought some cheap MP3 USB speakers and an Energizer twin USB 120 volt plug.
I also bought a cheap hanging hook designed to screw into drywall. The box already had two threaded mounting holes in the lid.
I ran a charging cord up from the usb adapter , so i can charge my phone while i stream pandora radio.I used aircraft wax string to tie all the wires together. Ill have to use someone elses phone to take a pic of my Galaxy Nexus mounted in place.
Why did you use to hold the two speakers up? I see its some kind of thin bar?

I actually found that the top didn't fit as snuggly as I wanted it too. There was still a little bit of a gap on each side so I had to center it.

Thank you. It is one of the best bang for the buck deals out there.
I also agree about both of these statements. The mat doesn't fit the top very well. I got mine close but it's still off a slight bit.

Im considering getting one of these boxes. What is the difference between the stainless steel lid and the truck bed liner lid? Which is better?

Bed liner lid? The lid isn't bedlinered, there is an optional rubber mat from snap-on. I believe the stainless top is on the krsc416( same cart Preety much but with a sliding top)
I love my krsc46

I have an older KRSC46,looked at the 246 and thought about trading. After checking specs decided it would be a wash. I think square inch layout was very close. I'm not sure the extra $ for the 246 is worth it. I hope all shoppers are doing their homework. :headscrat

When you bought the side box and mounting plate, did it come with screw to mount the box to the adapter plate? what screws or bolts did you use?
Thanks,
Kevin

After seeing the 246 today(newb at work has one) I really like the depth(those drawers are awesome) but I like the drawer height in my cart. Still very happy with my krsc46.

You could say that I've modded mine a wee bit.

I'm also an A&P. I didn't like how the flip top wouldn't let you always use it as a workbench. I then realized how destroyed toolboxes can get if you really use them as a workbench, and improvised. I didn't end up with the cleanest setup in the world but it does its job extremely well and I am more than pleased. 3/16" top, 1x1x.125 square tube bolted in 16 places with 3/16 backing plate to protect the sheetmetal from the weight. I've had two mechanics standing on this table before without a problem.

It only hurts drilling the first two or three holes, after that you get used to it.

Unfortunately the KRA4107 is only sold in 4 colors and extreme green isn't one. You might want to ask SO if they can special order you some. If they can't, then I would suggest ordering them in any color and have a local powder coating shop try to match it up for you.

He gave you the correct part number for extreme green! You can tell your snap on guy to order them but there is no telling how long it will take BHH.

Why not just keeping it all within GJ by using the "Manage Attachments" feature GJ has? One can still use the "img" tags to point to the pictures.

Here's an example. I attached a picture and used it within this message.

So, my SO guy called me early in the morning saying he has my adapter panel and needs to get it off the truck because, it takes up too much space. At lunch, he drops it off. Around the end of the day, I get ready to install it. Lo and behold it had dents on the corners, I assume from shipping! I'm not angry just displeased considering the price.

It will be hidden for the most part so, I just bent them back into shape.

I am praying to the tool gods that my drawers don't get messed up in shipping. Why can't people learn how to pack things?
