To the op........maybe they moved production offshore for awhile, maybe they didn't. Its still the best ratchet available in the usa.........I don't care. I have many of them. The next best I have found is the gearwrench 120xp. Now that the usa is back on them......they went to a stamping that looks worse than the older ones. It looks like the stamp was done, then they plated it. The older ones had cleaner stamps that looked like the plating was done before the stamping and it looked cleaner. Maybe it was finer before an now the stamp is bigger? Either way the ratchet performs better than any I have ever used. Least amount of backdrag........and some people disagree with me on this.......but I would not get uptight about it either way. It will work and be among the best ratchets in the world.

Question Snap On F80 clone???
Just received a SO F80 ratchet from an seller.
The back of the ratchet is stamped Snap On and there is F80 stamped into the handle, but no where do I see U.S.A.
What gives??
Is this made out of the country??

I found myself using a Snap On Tech Angle torque wrench today on the race car; because of this thread I noticed it wasn't stamped USA on the head.
