My return was just delivered (they are very close and only took 1 day), but no sign of the refund yet which they stated would be processed as soon the shipment was in transit. Not worried about getting the refund, just more missed commitments by this vendor. Also left some relative feedback to this fun transaction :D

"Wrong item was sent, slow response, did not refund the product charge when item was in transit as mentioned in their return approval... overall poor experience and I would not recommend using this vendor"

I filed a claim and told them I wanted the correct item shipped instead of a refund. When the vendor gave a refund anyway, the claim was closed automatically.

I have had almost no issues with Amazon ever. However I don't like that their system does this. I get it, they probably get thousands of these daily. But I don't like it.

Amazon sent me a grinder kit cheaper than the deal price to keep me as a customer.

I understand mistakes happen but how Autoplicity handled things was wrong. If they where honest from the start most guys would have been ok with it.

I have been getting lip service from Autoplicity. When I filed the complaint on Amazon, Autoplicity issued a shipping label. They also offered to arrange for UPS pickup, but they have never followed through on that promise. As a result, the package has been sitting here waiting for the UPS guy to come get it, but they always have a reason for failing to arrange the UPS pickup. I think that this is a ruse on their part -- they're procrastinating in arranging the UPS pickup so it looks like I never returned the item, and they don't have to issue the refund.

It looks like I'm going to have to spend the time to drive their POS sanding pad to the UPS store to get my money back. More wasted time and effort on my part because Autoplicity isn't honest enough to honor their promises.

I just filed a complaint with the BBB.

While I am not very pleased they decided to not honor the items sold, but I am not too unhappy with them. They were always prompt in responding to my emails and the return was as little BS free as it could be. I mean, they should have honored the deal but I see where they are coming from not wanting to do it, after all, it was a price mistake made by amazon. In reality the company would have been better off just cutting their losses and not hurting their reputation even further, but hey, that's their problem.

credit card companies don't honor chargebacks until you have a tracking number for a return. i don't want to drive 20 miles and use my money to correct their mistake, so i'm letting amazon handle it.

They listed the SK box AGAIN at $25.34.. you would think that they would have pulled the listing if there was such a problem.
I had a similar problem once with something else. The vendor claimed amazon was at fault listing the wrong photos.

Was a huge hassle. Had to do the Amazon a to Z guarantee after vendor told me to f off.
I had that happen. The images & description indicated a different item (size, application, material) than what was shipped. It took months for the listing to get corrected. And the Amazon phone staff was purely there to say uh hmm. yeah. uh hmm. and disregard any common sense presented. It's literally not worth the $50 difference in hassle to try and get a deal on the sander.

The return label has a UPS number already? If the vendor issued the tracking number, I don't see how you're on the hook for the shipping if you tell UPS you have a pickup.

The sander kit CP7200S......

FINALLY have it in my hands! After getting back in town on the holiday.

Amazon sent it UPS and UPS handed it off to USPS, which is a cheaper method of shipping. USPS didn't deliver it Tuesday, but finally did today.

A couple of things.

First, the sander as shown in the Amazon ad, is not the one you get. It is a photo of an older model with a two finger wide trigger. The updated model has a one finger width trigger and a black grip that covers the entire handle. I like the feel of this design, and have no experience with the other, older one, so I'm happy. Also the newer one has the CP logo on the side of the barrel painted black.

Now the difficult part.

NOWHERE in the instructions, is it shown how to remove the pad. Nowhere on CP's site either. There is a small black handled pin in the kit. And a hole through the handle, right behind the trigger. But that wouldn't lock the barrel and the hole is a little too small.

There is a slot in the outer barrel, but when you stick the pin in and rotate the pad, nothing happens.

So I called CP customer service, and got a salesman that could only read from their online catalog. He finally connected me to a tech girl who explained that there was a small depression in the inner barrel, that the pin fit into. While I had her on the line, I tried it. Didn't work.

I finally figured out that I had to put pressure on the pad, while rotating it, to make the inner barrel rotate, and for the hole to come into view. Then the pin inserted in the hole, locks it. Also, you will have MUCH better luck, if while pushing and rotating the pad, you also shift the pad sideways, through it's random orbit locations, while letting pressure on the pin push it into the hole. I've never had this much trouble getting a pin into a hole!

This is all just in case you have the same trouble. And I suggested that CP put something up on the website. Amazon could update their photo too.

Been using mine for a week now, it's pretty nice. Real good speed control with the trigger.

And I got to keep the pad, since Amazon cancelled the order and refunded my money, after the pad shipped. But that means I don't get to leave negative feedback......RATS!

Amazon has been pretty good to me lately. I got an extra shock from them as well. What to do with it though...?

I was not having a great week so when they refunded my money that was one less thing I had to worry about. In hindsight, I was a bit more charitable than I should have been.
