I continued with the tool cleaning. It was pretty boring after a while, but the results were awesome. I have a lot of old tooling that I have found from yard sales and even trash bins. Years and years of grid came of nicely.
These over 30 years old Knipex pliers are a good example. I also glued all the loose handles and oiled the swivels.
Couple of years ago I bought tools from army-surplus sale. All great brands like Stahlwille, Bahco, Wera, Snap-on, Belzer and Facom. Tools were priced 2 to 3 Euros a piece. That was a score of a lifetime
My shopdog following the progress here
I fixed my ratcheting wrenches. These are pretty decent and cheap with a 10 years guarantee. I'm going to update better ones when these ones snap permanently.
New grease, and screws tightened with small amount of Loctite. I have some spare parts for the 3/8" one.
I started installing other gear on the pegboard meanwhile the tools were soaking.
Adam Savage once said that tools go in drawer to die. So I try to fit them all on the pegboard. Well some have to go to die because i'm running out of wall space
Opened both of my Wellers and cleaned the dust inside. Oldies but goldies and working great. There's something about old tooling that inspires me.
I still have to clean some rusty tools with Evaporust.
Have a great day everyone
