If you think the black Superslims are cheap looking, have a look at these 6 TW spanners (all same size, corrosion due to being stored in a closed toolbox where an old amber plastic handled screwdriver had been deteriorating).

I also came across these box (tube) spanners (wrenches) that came with the Superslim wrenches in heavy truck toolkits, these may/may not have been made by T Williams? Sizes are:-
1/4W x 5/16W; 3/8W x 7/16W and 1-1/8"AF

I'm going to post some Jenbro black finished spanners (made by Britool) here as these were an alternative to T.Williams Superslims in some British truck toolkits in the 1970's? Sizes are from 1/8"W 3/16"BSF to 3/4"W 7/8"BSF.

Looks like probably a nice condition and complete metric set, and it could be useful too.. I have some like that i carry in my Land Rover Defenders as on board kits. More common here than in Idaho I expect! J.

Hi
My daughter bought me that set for my birthday as a surprise. I have mostly Japanese cars now, but I'd still like to find a "H" type 13x15mm wrench to go with the set. Does anyone have one for sale? I thought this might be the best place to start my search.

That must have been a nice surprise, Happy Birthday!
I will have a look see if I have any extras in that size. It's not a difficult size to find here, but of course there's the shipping cost.
Currently 1 for sale on e bay UK, from a reputable seller I have dealt with.

Thank you. 9 pounds shipping seem a lot for one wrench, but I know the cost has gone up a lot in the last few years. The wrench looks in good shape I may order it.

I do have an extra 13-15mm in my box which would go well with your set. If you want to hold off ordering that expensive one from e bay I could check cheapest postage cost next week when I have to go to the Post Office with some other stuff anyway. What approximate location are you?

I came across this little spanner marked AMC which I think is a Superslim as it's marked TW on the reverse side, might have been part of a motorcycle? toolkit.

On Thursday I took a couple pictures of my British wrenches. 64C8ED4A-4398-4EFC-8340-30013B631102.jpeg0AB35F86-2BB1-4BA8-B4B2-1293A17FC6E2.jpeg
Today while I was going through another box I found three more. 89C99B87-A662-4E0C-9A50-762184B84CDA.jpeg6166D464-5742-490E-A7A2-F26384786113.jpeg

You have a nice collection going there Don, especially the Jaguar toolkit ones. The short 1/4 Whitworh is battery terminal nut size, very useful. Some of the open ends especially the King **** have those great fat wide heads, so difficult to get in to a tight spot. Like the nuts on the Land Rover steering lock stop setscrews, the only thing that can turn them is a Snap On!

Been 'on a roll' recently with these, and found 3 sets of the chrome plated versions. Whitworth, Imperial AF, and Metric. I added the 22 x 24mm to the metric set to extend it, and well, because I had it and I like to have those sizes!
I don't have room to display these (yet) on my office 'wall of tools' so will likely have to construct a west wing and an east wing on the board, as Tostal suggests. 'Many a true word is spoken in jest' as they say!
Here's the Whitworth/BSF set:

I have a lot Superslim DOE spanners that I started buying cheaply at car boot sale 20+ years ago. They are mostly AF/Whitworth and black finish but I do have some plated and metric ones. I see them at every car boot sale that I go to and now pass on them even at 20 or 50 pence each.

This one is a bit different as it lives up to its name. I assume that it was also made by T Williams. There is no makers name or TM and only has "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the other side.
