I will admit I have never tried taping OSB - and never will. Need it sealed? Try caulk. Need it to look nice - try some thin molding / trim...

Want taped joints? Should have hung drywall, just my opinion......

I don't think that would look very good even if it works, which i kind of doubt.

If I have OSB walls, I wouldn't want to seal them. Having the ability to remove the panel with screws to get behind it for wire/pipe access would be worth more to me than seeing seams.

Agreed. If you want to hide the seam use molding, furring strips (i think that's the name), or caulk.

EXTERIOR before Siding - -- yes, it's common practice to seal house better
(I've seen green wide tape used around here.)

INTERIOR (if using OSB vs sheetrock) - - then I'd say caulk as putting up sheets to help make airtight

I just use a plastic jointer for most interior jobs.

I used caulk, but not necessarily to hide the seams. To make it airtight. But it did minimize the seams to some extent.
