CHAPTER 2. The Bimmer Garage Verson 2.0 (house and basement build out as well)
The title may be a bit wordy but here we go. On Jan 11 we closed on both houses and we were out of the old house on the 17th. My father in law and I started moving things in and working on the house the night of the 11th. The first thing my wife and I wanted to address was paint.
The previous owners were fans of bold colors and accent walls... they were not fans of painters tape or 2nd and 3rd coats. The dining room was horrible with the walls and ceiling painted
GREEEEEEN! With the painters scheduled for the next day, my FIL and I put up some crown molding that first night.

The next morning the painters showed up and painted that ceiling white. The rest of the room will be wall papered.

They also took care of this wall that was badly painted black by the previous owners.

We picked a less
GREEEEEEN! green for the master bedroom and bathroom cabinets(I have already scratched one.....)

I also set up my coffee station, which was necessary for the all the projects to come.

We have been in the house about a week at this point. I have done a few little projects and my wife has decorated, its starting to feel more like home. I will get some pics and update the thread when the all the boxes are cut down and its more presentable. As for the garage, its currently a catch all for stuff we dont want in the house or the basement, but I am hoping to get it set up enough to park two cars in it over the weekend so stay tuned.
Thanks for encouraging me to keep this thread going, I appreciate you all.
