What wheels are on the E9? They almost look like E75s.
Enkei 92’s I believe. They are gone as soon as the car comes home. Haha

I recently found an entire set of E75s at a swap-meet just south of us for $50/set. Yes, you read that correctly. I sold the entire set in about a week for $2000.
The guy I bought them from said "Get these ugly ****ers out of my sight". Yes sir, right away!
I added some scoops to the e91 last night. I know they do nothing but I think they look cool. I ordered them from Rush Customs, since they are close to me and I wanted them in blue. I plan on doing the M performance blue brake calipers eventually, honestly probably never but I would like them, so I wanted these to kinda match. Before I installed them, I coated them to keep them clean.
Love the wagon/2002! If I had to guess, these scoops do a couple of things:
1) increase pressure drop (inlet restriction) at low vehicle speed, reducing airflow and torque for a given engine speed
2) increase vehicle drag
3) decrease rad/condenser airflow
4) increase rad/condenser restriction, increasing fan current draw
That's just my guess based on experience running full-vehicle CFD as an automotive engineer (M-B, Maserati, SRT, and more...). Now, I have a ton of respect for the guys out there selling $80 folded sheet metal to satisfy the lust for cool colors haha. To me it's amazing how powerful the ///M brand is

Maybe like this?
I have some older H1/H1's or do you plan to use H4/H1?
Non Sealed beam headlights. There is also a 3.5CSL E9 on BAT too
Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrSorry to derail the thread, but at least with my kid - Luvs were like instant diaper rash. We never finished the first pack of them. Our favorites were actually the Wally-World brand. Who would have thought theirs would be good?
I was wondering when you took the e9 to a semi-retired painter if that didn't mean a long wait. Body shops are already notoriously slow, add to that someone at the end of their career.... ooof.
Hopefully not that long but while its gone my dad and I are working on other projects. My dad replaced a bunch of mounts on the Xj Wag and adjusted the shift cables, he also replaced all the window seals on the big Wagoneer. I finished the M3 up last night. I put the oil filter housing gasket and Vanos line back on and buttoned it back up last night.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrOnce my basement is finished, I need to up my bourbon game. We were originally going to have a bar built during the finishing, but decided to instead focus on having more open space. So we are going to be adding some lower cabinets in one area of the basement, and they will be book-ending both a wine fridge and mini fridge. We envision slapping a butcher block on top of that as a sort of serving area for when we have people over. And above that on the wall, we plan on adding some nice shelving for our liquor. So that's when I'll start buying some bottles. I'll have to touch base with you when the time gets closer to pick your brain on some must-haves.
And ended the weekend by sampling a couple bourbons I recently picked up. Both were very good.

You hadn't tried Four Roses Single Barrel before? Their Small Batch is very good for the money. And Russell Reserve is part of Wild Turkey so try a few of theirs too.
Elijah Craig Small Batch has been at Costco the last couple of visits.
My favorite bang for the buck, everyday bourbon is Larceny.
Can you elaborate more on this additive and why your buddy suggested it? It is BMW specific to only be used with other LM products?
Why 10W60 in an E36 M3?
Since I live in GA its often warm and rarely that cold in the winter. I was getting some valve noise when it got hot and this is what LM recommended. Its not a daily and when I do drive it I am fairly hard on it, as long as I let it warm up it should be fine.
I have a 700 rwhp built motor, built head, cammed, 7200 rpm limiter, turbocharged E36M3 and run 0W40. I run 0W40 in my modified E90M3 that uses an 8600 rpm limiter. You definitely don’t need 10W60 in a near stock street driven E36M3. I hope you have an oil temperature gauge so you can verify it is getting up to proper temperature to burn off condensation and contaminants. I have oil temp gauges in both of my M3s.
If your S52 is noisy, figure out why and fix it. Could be vanos needs rebuilding, or chain guides or tensioners, or leaky lifters. Molasses in the motor is not the solution.
If it is a high rpm track car, it is still unnecessary but should not do any harm.
It will be fine. E36 oil has been argued to death. It has a 150k and if it blows up(it won't) I'll put an s54 in it. Haha

If you are willing to open your mind and learn about engine oil, read bobistheoilguy and 540ratblog. The old school “thicker is better” myth has been dispelled.

Not sure why you came to this thread to stand on your soapbox and crow about someone else’s choice of oil.
Let’s get on with our regularly scheduled programming. That’s what we’re here for. There are other places you can impart your obviously superior knowledge.

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrCan I recommend something for your Saturday morning drive?
J/K! Have fun, beat the **** out of that beautiful M3![]()
If you don't want your seats to get ruined from the car seat, put a seat protector down under the car seat. I got ours on amazon for about $15. It prevents permanent indentations from stretching the leather out.
Wait....was that another recommendation^^^^?? Hahaha
All is looking good. Stress is real with babies on the way. Seiko watch mods are a crazy, but fun rabbit hole. Just the options for bezel inserts is insane. Breathe.![]()

Untitled by Nick Wood, on FlickrAwesome! Sounds like an great weekend!
Doesn’t it feel amazing to be able to take a car completely out of commission for a few days and not even worry about it? And the fact you have the M to drive in the meantime is sweeeettt
