I use everything at work (Makita, Hougen, Stihl, Dewalt etc.).

At home is a different story, it's what I grew up with.

Creftsman.

The C3 line works and the add on tools don't break the bank.

I'll have to take pictures of my C3 collection. I'll probably be shocked to get them all in one place!

How do you find the leaf blower. Bought on a few years ago and its performance was disappointing. Everything else works slick!

The local outlet has a shelf full. Its not bad but not anything close to the corded Stihl. I use it to blow the work benches' off.

Have you guy's tried the shop vac ? It seemed kinda weak at the store. But , It could have had a weak battery.

I have to ask...

Are there any other Corvette fanatics here who instinctively read the title of this thread as "The Third Generation Corvette Addiction Thread"?

Sorry I started with a 1962 monsoon red C1? then went to a siebring silver 1997 C5 followed by a Y2K Mellenium yellow Z51 C5, followed by a red 01 Z06 and then ended on the first year of the Caddy CTSV with the LS6. I should have known better. SORRY.

my bad. Could the mods please combine them?

I think this thread is different. I would not vote to combine them. This is C3 in general with pictures.

I tried it on the motorhome and was impressed that it would pick stuff out of the thick carpeting. Pickup stuff up off the tile floor was easy of course. I've found any battery powered vacuum has to have a strong battery to be effective.

I'm not a Corvette fanatic ... just a car guy. But I initially thought this was a Corvette thread too!

Nah, it's the same. The Milwaukee addiction thread is not just pictures, but also discussion, "I love this," "this is coming soon" etc.

Not to worry though, you'll get your wish. This is GJ - why have a central point of reference when 50 tidbits of information can be spread across 45 threads?? The threads will not be combined. It's not my board so whatever.

Sorry I started with a 1962 monsoon red C1? then went to a siebring silver 1997 c4 followed by a Y2K Mellenium yellow Z51 C4, followed by a red 01 Z06 and then ended on the first year of the Caddy CTSV with the LS6. I should have known better. SORRY.

1997 and 2000 Corvettes would be C5s, not C4s.

2001 Z06s are wickedly awesome cars. I love that they feel less refined -- more raw and untamed -- than the 2002 and later models.

You had some amazing cars.

Sounds like my kinda thread! As for the C3 tools, I started with the combo kit with the drill, right angle drill, and 2 nicad batteries about 5 years ago. The batteries are long since toast, but I upgraded to 2 of the xcp high capacity lithium batteries. I have also added a high torque 1/2" impact, 1/4" hex impact driver, and Sawzall over the years.

i'm kicking myself for not jumping on the 3/8" impact that was on a clearance table a while back and the auto ratchet back when it was being clearanced out

I have the C3 platform of tools quite a few of them. Since the ryobi and C3 cordless stuff are made in the same factory. I sort of combined the 2 platforms to get verything that the C3 has clearenced out and you cant get anymore. Like the fan and other tools makes for a good size collection of cordless tools.

Just an addition to my above comment mentioning Ryobi is by no means a derailment of the thread. Just an idea for others to think about.
