In the spirit of Xmas…. my wife suggested using my grandfathers handsaw (circa 1920’s)as a Xmas decoration, so I got busy with the printer and made clamp jaws and a “topper” for it. I have a similar saw from my other grandfather (circa 1950’s) that will be getting the same treatment. My wife is currently waiting for Amazon to deliver a string of led lights for each, but here is the mock up…
I’m planning on redoing the c-clamp jaws but for proof of concept, they work well enough.

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a P1S since I got a nice end-of-year bonus.
My big hope is to print more. I am finding that with my E3v2, I am wanting to print less because it is such a hassle print. Constant bed leveling, print quality, speed (lack of it), and constant computer-to-printer back-and-forth dance all make the process so tedious! I could put a couple hundred into more upgrades to improve things, but I would still have a mediocre printer by today's standards. I've had my fun learning how it all works, now I just want it to work!

Printed these ornaments that hold an LED tea light and the snowmen for small Christmas gifts, turned out great!
Snowmen I printed 18 of and took almost two days, the ornaments are a day for a plate of 9. Long prints, but have received great reviews.

I cranked out a few little Christmas gifts last night. A pair of cookie cutters and a detergent bottle cap drain. Nothing special, but fun or useful for the recipient.

Are you using Bambu studio, or Orcaslicer? Going to crosshatch and a little lower on that infill probably could have saved some time and material.Have had my P1S for 6 months or so. This was my longest print yet, 11 hours.

use cross hatch or gyroid instead of grid. grid can cause bad things to happen. looks good

Using Bambu Studio. Honestly I have never messed with infill settings. Everything is complicated enough with all the choices for settings

it is a rabbit hole. but it can really really really help.
and also make this so bad you just wish for how it was prior

Looks like a loose nozzle caused that?whoopsies
first layer offset too high. happens from a little booger on the nozzle not cleaned off. print came undone a bit later and just smeared around all the first layers together into the blob
we're doing in the area of 12,000 print hours a month. on the P1S with single color. rare. i dont really count a first layer issue as a significant failure. its just something that happens from time to time.

I made over 300 of these in various colors as requested.

300 is a lot, especially so if you are doing multicolor prints!

I painted the face masks with an acrylic marker.
One thing about chemo is the cool meds they give you. I could do these for hours, especially with a little Floyd in the background.

Those look nice, and way better than using a sharpie, which tends to color bleed on the layer lines. I'm guessing you used something like the PC-1M or PC-3M there?Of course!
