I think you may have missed the two or three hundred other threads, basically bashing HF because it sells non-union made tools, and almost as bad, non-American made tools.
Take that in context, and you can see why your posts could be read that way.
I find it hard to believe you never heard of TopTul, since there are threads every week about it, but maybe you just read certain posts.
You might read the latest TopTul poll post, just to get a sense of what is annoying a few people, myself included.
Lots of guys post who have other motives rather than the tools themselves to post trash numbers or talk.
Every HF thread, a bunch of people, some of whom have never been in the stores, or have glanced through one with total distaste for either import tools, tools priced for the 'working, even lower class' people, or just tools that don't cost as much as the ones they bought, trash the place.
Mixed with these are guys who can afford top grade tools and truly do not believe anyone should buy anything less than the best.
The problem with your original post is you make the sweeping statement that everything there is junk, which is flat not true. You also say everything you bought at HF broke, but frankly, that would assume you somehow only bought already defective items, or items that strangely broke when you used them, but not when the rest of us use them.
You see how it seems to add up?
Now maybe you never read any other threads, never heard of TopTul, or HF bashing threads before, but why would anyone reading your posts assume you never saw this forum before, or any of those type of threads?
So I will take you at your word, you aren’t just bashing to hate tools for non-rich people, or tools that weren't sold by your union, and that you had worse luck than anyone else I ever met.
Heck, statistically it's possible. But with that luck, don’t buy any lottery tickets, for your own sake.
