It tops up tires low on pressure in very little time for me, like 30 seconds (depending how flat). Never tried it on a completely flat tire though.

As many awesome tools as Milwaukee makes, the Ryobi inflator is superior in every way to the M12. It has the same "auto" feature where you set the pressure and turn it on and walk away. It comes with a quick connect fitting already so no need to go buy one. It has two separate hoses, one for low volume and high pressure, the other for high volume. So you use the high pressure side for things like truck tires, and the high volume side for stuff like air mattresses or water toys. It also has a deflate function, so I take it to the beach and it'll blow up a small raft from empty in a couple minutes, and then when it's time to go home it ***** all the air back out in a couple minutes so you can fold it back up.

Like I said, Milwaukee has tons of great tools and a lot of their M12 line tools are superior to anyone else's offerings, but in some cases others have nailed it, and Milwaukee lags behind. I think the inflator is one of them.

I’m just messing with one guy right now.. i figure hell start asking other guys how their impact is doing - everyone will say “great”, and itll drive him mad wondering whats going on. The worst part is I’m not even around him most of the time to see the initial reaction.. next week he’ll prob mention something is up with his gun, and then ill switch everything back to normal for a week..

Few years ago, i had a boss that had all his company award and achievements printed out, and pinned to a cork board behind his desk. We had rotating evening hours for a while, where 2 of us would have to work from 1-9pm to help cut down overtime, and really you were just sitting in the office in case anything came in after normal hours. I sat on the computer one night at work, and found a site that had “certificate stencils” you could type names into and print out for free.. i think I printed out 6 different awards. “Best Dance Partner”, “3rd Grade Spelling Bee Champion” and covered half his awards with those. They were up for MONTHS and nobody noticed. Came in one day, they were all removed - boss never mentioned anything.. i imagine him sitting in his swivel chair on the phone one day, leaning back, spun around - finally noticing whats been up on the wall for months - or HIS boss coming to visit him, and saying “Ed, wtf is this?”

He was probably waiting for someone to say something about it, to figure out who did it.. hes probably still wondering to this day..

M12 Fuel 3/8" ratchet is down to $179 CAD at Home Depot in Canada (about $135 USD) as the Milwaukee prices in Canada seem to keep on dropping and dropping . . .

Needless to say I'm very tempted. I was reserved to picking up the non-Fuel version since it can be had for $99-$119 CAD and the Fuel was always closer to $250, and I couldn't see it being worth double. But now that the Fuel is much closer in price, I'm leaning more that way.

I've heard a lot of people say they like their non-Fuel because it is much smaller and lighter than the Fuel, but I've also never really noticed anyone complain about the Fuel that actually owns it. Anyone have the Fuel and regret it, or have both and use the non-Fuel more?

Curious if there will ever be any upgrades with the rest of the line, though I have to say I have never had any performance issue with my angled 16ga

I use my nonfuel 1/4 the most. Rarely use my 3/8 fuel. But if you are working on domestic pick up trucks with loads of room versus the tight engine compartments of many smaller cars, you don’t need compactness.

I like the 3/8” Fuel. I do agree that the head is quite big, and has some weight but haven’t ran into anything yet that it was a problem.

Actually the 2554-20 stubby was $169 with a NEW LOWER PRICE in August at homedepot.ca and in store, so it is up $10 now. Though last week it was up to $199 so I am glad I picked up another on Sept 12 at Prime Fasteners for $169 with a 4.0 Ahr freebie as well as a free 26' wide tape they were handing out until they were gone. lol

Segue - The internet modem/router "hiccuped" the other day. The wife was bitchin' about the stream service because she could not watch TV. I told her it had nothing to with the streaming service (not that it is the most reliable, but ...) after I reset the modem/router (push and hold the reset button, then reprogram the network name) I didn't even get a thank you.

She would be so technologically lost if I was not around.

I have the "Red Fever" but at my age, and the lack of major products I do, I have been very conservative on my purchases. I am sticking with M12 tools (although my son might start getting some M18 tools this Christmas to replace his old DeWalt 18V NiCad/NiMh).

My small rant, is the price Milwaukee get for their batteries. Sure there are "smarts" inside most of the batteries, but the price of the cells has dropped a huge amount. I would really like at least one of the M12 3.0Ah compact batteries but at about $50 it is 4 times the cost of the generics ! And I certainly can not justify the M12 XC6.0 at around $75 !!

Does any one discount batteries ? Do they ever go on sale ? Or do I need to turn to the generics ????

Have you check eBay? I have bought quite a few batteries from different vendors and have never had an issue. Plus prices are normally half of the stores.

I've done very well sourcing authentic Milwaukee batteries from Home Depot and Acme Tools sales/closeouts, and also ebay. If going the ebay route, I always buy from a seller that includes pictures of an unopened battery, with the serial number/date code visible. That way you can calculate how much warranty you have remaining on the battery.

I've had good luck with OfferUp for batteries. Find lots of new ones, from kits that are parted out for some reason, going for good deals. Craigslist has been hit or miss on my M12 purchases.

Got the last of my two recent purchases in finally.

M12 band saw NIB on Ebay for $100 shipped.

M12 Surge driver soft case kit with two 2.0 batteries also NIB for $100 on OfferUp locally.

I think I'm good on M12 stuff until the installation driver and the extended ratchets come out. I only started considering M12, as an addition to my Ryobi stuff, just for the ratchets and haven't bought one yet. Thought I would get some of the originals cheap then the fuel came out and I prefer brushless if possible. The fuel ones started coming up on deals locally and then the extended was announced. They look the most useful for my needs so I'll start with the 3/8 extended to get a good feel for them.

Forgot this was in the mail as well. NIB for 125 shipped. Hopefully it's better than the Ryobi that couldn't make 125 lb/ft, let alone the rated 250, if you added 3 of them together. YouTube tests look promising.

Sent my 1/2 drill in because the chuck was slipping on small drills. It took about a week and they sent it back with a new chuck and gearbox which feels much better than the old one. That was my first time using the e-service. I’d call my experience excellent.

Two 2.0's for $50 isn't that bad, especially if the bare tool isn't available. I wouldn't lose any money selling them at least. And any for anyone talking full price, there have been a couple sites that have had 10% of this week. I only paid $206 for mine

So another (older) digger derrick showed up at work - and got assigned to me.. boss sends me a text, says - order whatever you need.
My vendor is about to get “KC’s revenge tool list” sent to him.
I’m making a separate list just for Milwaukee stuff.

Still waiting for my M18 underground cable cutters to get dropped off.

This should be a good start. No power tools yet, just whatever i can get where Milwaukee stuff will suffice.. ya know - so everyone knows whos truck it belongs on.. ;)

Really enjoying my new 2853-20 Fuel Impact Driver with the 5.0Ah XC batteries.

It's my first impact driver and is so handy I haven't even touched the other part of the combo (2804-20 Fuel Hammer Drill).

Over the past week I've done a number of projects and thought I was pushing the limits on the battery. I placed it on the charger and it still registers green for a full charge. Then I realized I could just push the battery button and see the same info on charge status. Nice!

The other excellent feature is the power selector. So far I've only used it on "1" to have more control and to avoid stripping out any screws. It's a big improvement over my Dad's M18 which is a great tool as well but doesn't have the multiple speed setting.

Here's the latest project: playhouse bench repair / rebuild.

Used the M12 Surge driver to remove the front skidplate from the truck so I could do the oil change over the weekend. Extremely impressed with how quiet it was compared to the normal impact driver.
