Have you ever used one before? Imho they are a giant waste of time and very hard on the impeller blades. I tried with my Stihl BG86....for about 5 minutes before I gave up.

Actually, yes, I have. This is strictly for driveway use, not on the lawn. I have a corded leaf/twig vacuum on wheels now. It works just OK, but is a pain to use. I have an M18 blower but most of the time I‘m not interested in scattering leaves, I want to actually pick them up off the ground and dump them into a can. My driveway does not border a lawn so I can’t just blow them onto the lawn for a mower.

The impeller should be designed to be easily replaceable when necessary.

Picked this up recently. Setup works great and super happy with with it, just wish is wasn’t “snap on" priced.

I picked one of these up yesterday. I'm impressed and it was high but still a good bit less than my Snappy guy gets for a similar light with less features. This coming from a Snappy fan.

I'll have to do some YouTube videos rewatching but I clearly recall the Stubby could handle 100lb with ease

I'm sure it's it's great if/when the applications calls for something that the stubby will fit

Off topic but I used to get stoked about Pipeline.
In the realm of power tools, cordless tools, whaddya say. Is there something that is missing or it's hit a plateau . Ha, I don't believe any new light options came out this year.

I love Youtube, but everything always seems to get disassembled a lot easier than reality.

I do like my m12 Stubby for what it is, but if I have access to air or the air line is already out and/or I'm not working on the interior of a car, the Astro nano impact is coming out.

Decided to wipe off that *huge dust pile* it collected sitting unused so figured time to re-evaluate it. I guess it goes back to gathering dust until the next time around . I think if they made it in 1/4 folks wouldn't be so offended by the lack of power. Based on feel it feels like it has half the punch of the nano which unfortunately doesn't cut it in a lot of situations.

I recall I started a Milwaukee disappointment thread. Next to the Backpack Vac, the Stubby is the only 2nd Red tool that's disappointed me.

I LOVE the M18 Press Systems (note, I said systems). I have their KO punch, the water press and the gas press....it's really is slick as sn0t

I'm so late to jump on this tool as everyone has one and there was mixed reviews on this but got tired of waiting for a Gen 2 die grinder. M12 die grinder came in, put a rocloc head on it's nice not being married to a hose..

I've used mine to strip floor pans in a camaro I'm restoring and man it's so nice!!!!

I'm wishing they had something similar to a body saw?

I used the M12 RA die grinder to treat/clean the surfaces on my engine when I swapped it out and absolutely fell in love with that little guy. Saved SO much time and even on a 2.0 the thing lasted a long time.

Personal experience speaking right angles are good for sanding disc's and stripping wheels think the twist lock disks.

Straight's are better for carbide burrs/ bits similar to things you would use with a dremel. Die grinder usually has more torque.

Does anyone know the best place to order the 106 inch guide rail P/N 48-08-0572 and the guide rail clamps P/N 48-08-057?
I searched around today on black Friday but it looks like these track saw accessories are not on sale anywhere. Everyday price at Home Depot is $250 for the guide rail and $40 for the clamps. Thank you!

I only use like 2 - a single rapid and the Rapid Charge Station.

Anyone hear rumours if Milwaukee is coming out with a bigger cordless circular saw? I’m in the market for a 8 1/4. But the biggest I can find is 7 1/4. Makita makes a 9 1/4” cordless that takes two 18v batteries. The power of the m18 9amp and 12amp should be able to power a 8 1/4”

I don’t have a lot of chargers but besides my workshop, I keep a couple inside the house. I go in for a break or lunch and I can charge without heading into the workshop. It’s nice to have a couple chargers when using the m18 chainsaw. The sequential chargers might be nice if you are on a job but multiple plain jane chargers let you charge all the batteries at once.

I watched some reviews on it. It isn't the end all be all but seems like it is really cool overall. I'd never seen a powered ratchet like that before, only manual ones. I'm probably going to wait for the gen2 version of it before I jump on one.

So I ordered some MX tools last night. I bought the jack hammer and the 14" cut off saw. I'm going to demo out the cement pad in the back yard later this year. It is broken in 1/2 from the 94 earthquake and really needs to be removed so the earth under it can be releveled/compacted. Plus I want to enlarge the rear patio so I have space for all my BBQs a nice outdoor eating area. I also need to demo out my asphalt driveway at some point too. I figured I'd buy these MX tools and do the job and when both projects are finished up, I can sell them and recover most of the cost of the tools.

I am going to end up with 3 batteries and 2 chargers on the MX platform between the 2 tools I bought. I'm hoping that will be enough battery pack action to keep me from having to sit around and wait for a battery to charge before I can continue working when I run one down. It will probably be several months before I even start on either of these projects but I saw a decent price on both the kits on ebay and snapped them up so I'd have them when I want to start working.

Very Nice Rusty. I'm Jealous and this is coming from a Red Tool ***** who has all the specialty tools like the ProPress, Knockout Kits, and the long Landry list. I'd say just aim for the 65% ish rule when you don't use the MX batteries just to keep their longevity / ROI as much as possible.

I've been reorganizing my garage recently and I've been 3D printing more battery mounts and stuff. I found a 3D printable wall mount for the M12 rivet gun but the guy wanted money for the model file. I had too much downtime at work today so I decided to try and lego together a mount in tinkercad. I tried to get fancy and radius the edges but forgot to compensate for thickness on one face of the gun. The mount is printing now but it is ugly. I got lazy and didn't radius everything/the part I had to tack on to move the hooks further out. If it works, I'll post up the STL file for you guys so you can print it. If it doesn't work, I'll post a pic of my failure LOL

We'll see what happens tomorrow morning, it is printing now. It will be done in about 3-3.5 hours but I'm gonna have to leave it until the morning because of OtherStuff(TM). Actually I have to go to a remote site to fix something tomorrow morning so we'll see what happens around/after lunch tomorrow when I get back.

Well I'll be damned, it fits. Its a bit tight, I probably should have moved the mount ears further forward a bit more than a blond one, but the tool fits/hangs in it properly. Here are some pics of it and I'm attaching the STL file in case anyone wants to print their own for free. The RA die grinder bracket I am using is a free one. I think I found it on thingiverse. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll post the STL here. I posted up pics of my 3D tool storage a WHILE ago in this thread but I've rearranged it a bit since then. I'll take a few pics of the current setup and post them in here tomorrow.

In other news, my MX tools finally came in. I took some pics of the saw, I'll post that up later today when I finish work. I need to get the breaker unboxed and then I'll snag pics of it. I gotta say, those MX batteries are monsters! They even have a physical disconnect for when they are shipped.

Not even bother to check the date code...

Showing signs of failing. Used in my Dual M18 Blower. Normally batteries deplete evenly. This particular one, noticed 2X that it drains faster than the other one....

Probably an unbalanced bank of cells. That issue plagues the 9.0s and 12.0s for some reason.

Yep - just had a brand new XC5.0 on my shelf and I noticed it wasn't fully charged. Stuck it on the charger and a few minutes later it was smoking and the charger had the flashing red/green light-of-death. Luckily it is under warranty, but that experience makes me nervous about having them in the house/garage.
