After viewing the boards and this thread I finally came up to the conclusion to start my milwaukee hoarding.

Picked these up today, and the batteries came free.

Now I am just waiting for a good price on the 3/8" impact, and anything else that looks good.

How did you get the batteries for free? I thought those promos were done

(Im eager to step into the M12 FUEL line but didnt want to bite right now in case the promos are going to start again soon)

Another concern is their free tool deal in store expires after tomorrow, 9/3/14, may be the same on a lot of these deals.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauke...l-Only-2407-22-2450-20/205415036?N=5yc1vZc9u4

Funny thing, I was in our local HD yesterday (9/25) and they still had the free tool deal sign up.

I asked a clerk as I pointed to the drill and driver: "$99 for both of these?"

He called a manager who looked at the sign, yanked it off the display, and sold me the two tools for $99.

I was happily surprised that the drill kit came with two batteries.

J-sus!!! Where in the he!! did you get that cabinet or did you re-purpose an old one and get some decals. Either way, I'm seeing gloss green envy right now.
Cheers,

Argh! I misplaced my m12 3/8 ratchet! I love that thing so much! I better find it before I buy the IR side impact!

I didnt know I needed a hackzall until I bought one. I used that thing on everything. Its great on fiberglass hulls where you dont have much clearance behind the first layer. The ratchet has also been a godsend.

Question - Ive been searching the home depot site the past couple days, using the query "milwaukee free"

Yesterday a bunch more hits showed up for the m12 stuff, but they are all out of stock online.

Are they getting ready to run another free battery promo? Or are they leftover from the last one (that I missed, of course!)

M12 bare tool + free battery promo seems to be the best way to buy this stuff....I dont need 82 chargers and cases lying around!

Thanks.

They usually run a promotion 2-3 times a year so I'm guessing you are seeing leftovers drone the last promotion.
I have never seen a free tool or battery with a bare tool. It is always buy a kit and receive a bare tool or battery.

You're not supposed to let the cat out of the bag! I might want to order this stuff myself :)

There are a bunch of bare tool + free battery pack not in stock. Maybe they really are going to come in stock sometime soon....Id be spending a good amount I think, Ill call it early xmas gifts or something.

The Hackzall deal you mentioned above, and maybe a hammer drill (3/8" or Fuel)

Here's my latest, 2604 Fuel hammer drill, reconditioned.

And here's just my Milwaukee cordless drills. Two V28/M28, two M18 and two M12. I love tools!

I don't know if it would interest any of you but stumbled across it and figured I would post it here. Advance Auto has the M12 3/8 ratchet BARE tool for 67.89 after code TRT30. Find $7.11 worth of filler and free shipping. If this has already been posted, sorry for the dupe.

I don't have a collection per se, but I will only buy Milwaukee. I will replace these Milwaukee with more Milwaukee. I've replaced the brushes once on both of these drills...just kinda waiting for them to **** out so I'd have an excuse to buy more. I've been waiting for a long time.

I am torn between the 2654 and the 2655 Impact wrenches. I currently have no impact tools at all. I was favoring the fact that they are rather small, light, and nimble. Is there any practical reason to favor one over the other given my situation of having no investment made in either 3/8 or 1/2 drive? My plan is to use them primarily for working on my car and potential future project car. I do not plan to use them to remove the crank bolt but if it could that would be awesome. Just general lug nuts, suspension components, odds and ends....

I currently have the 3/8 milwaukee cordless ratchet that would supplement this tool for working on cars.

I have the M18 2663 1/2" impact. I have been using it over my MG-725 Snappy. I honestly love it. I have not been able to stump it yet. It was really nice to have for a recent trip to s pull it junk yard. I recently used it extensively to replace the trans in my Tahoe.

Let me know if I'm okay in posting this here, but here is my favorite Milwaukee. Actually, tied with the 11 amp angle grinder. This thing is bulletproof

Nice. Those look like they get some use.

I thought that too. After hearing some whine that the M12 tools can't be stood up w the compact batteries and might get scratched (gasp) if laid on their side I've decided the most attractive Milwaukee tools are those that are clearly, visibly used.

Wow...I'm just going to quote this for the sake of quoting it. I've seen brand cabinets before, here and there, but this is getting ridiculously AWESOME! Now I'm searching all the sites for cabinets of my fav manufacturers. Thanks guy.. ;-)

Where'd you pick it up?
