I thought this was a good picture opportunity. Wish I had thrown in the ratchet and some other things. Oh well.

Wow, did you see the customer image for the Milwaukee organizer? I didnt even think about putting cordless tools in one.

I have my M12 tools in a Ridgid small box right now, I wonder if the Milwaukee organizer has more room (taller?). I dont really toss my stuff around so I dont need absolute durability....it would be nice to just get a few of the Milwaukee organizers and have 1 or 2 for tools and 1 for small parts.

CPO is the cheapest I've found, $34 for 1/2" (49-16-2763) & $24 for 3/8" (49-16-2754), no tax.

Amazon has a couple of the 1/2" for $34.99, Prime eligible, no tax.

Obviously, eBay and other retailers carry them, but those are the best deals I've found.

Okay, I am almost ready to "pull the trigger" !

I want an M12 3/8" drill, their 2 speed one (Model 2407) intrigues me ! I also want an M12 impact, but I an torn between the 1/4" hex and a 3/8" square. I would use both, but I am too cheap to buy both ! Comments/recommendations ?

Who sells refurb models at a good discount ?

I have the Fuel 2453 1/4" hex impact I'm selling if you want to buy used. Should be still 3 or so years of warranty on it. Pretty mint, it'd pass for a like new refurb easily. Shoot me a PM.

I almost got the new M12 but I didn't like that the blades are not as easy to find and that it cuts 2x but only straight as it's small.

I just ordered the 49-16-2763 from Northern Tool for the same $34 but it included free shipping also.

Yeah, I saw that, too. Northern charges tax to SD.

CPO offers free ship on first order with code "welcome"

I purchased my first (new) Milwaukee set. I got a combo kit from Home Depot. The M12 drill driver and impact driver w/ battery and charger. Love the impact but I have a slight problem. The direction switch seems really loose and easy to change. Between operations it often gets stuck in the 'neutral' position requiring me to hit it again in the direction I want. Is this normal or should I return the unit?

Does it come with the free 3rd battery like during thanksgiving/xmas?
No just two batteries, but still a damn good deal.

My little local HD usually doesn't have squat, but they had a stack of about 40 of these, that weren't there the day before. Must be a Memorial Day special.

I would say that is not normal, the selector on the drill and impact should feel the same.

You can save some money on your light bill, with all that bright-*** yellow in your shop.

That was the other comment I thought about......now back to the "Red"

Come on 77Ford, just make the transition already! Or should I be donating to you the horribly colored yellow stuff I have collecting dust now that I switched to red?

Yes. And some also commented that they are made better than the DeWalts. I compared them closely, and they are a little better made than the yellow versions. I now own three of them and will get several more.

Now I have seven of these. Next project on the list: build a new, rolling hardware rack.

Talked to the guy driving this Ford, he was putting up tool displays at HD today, he said he deals with several brands. Joker didn't offer any special deals and I found zero Red deals today.

Please post pics.....I bought a HF 2 wheel dolly for the same project but have not started yet.
Will do, but due to work obligations and too many unfinished projects, I wont get to this project until later in June. Gotta clear up some of this mess first.

Just ordered this set that I saw someone mention earlier for $170:
Milwaukee 2691-22

I have zero cordless tools at the moment, and figured I could always upgrade the batteries later. My primary use will be personal home and auto.

EDIT
Changed my mind as I went to the store to pick it up and exchanged it for the M12 Fuel combo. Figured that would be a much better base for me and if tougher projects pop up later down the road, I could always add some more tools to the collection.

Watch out! Fuel is like crack:(

I never really looked into them until recently. Man I need/want it! Especially the fuel impact driver, I think that'll be my gateway drug haha. I think it's awesome that Milwaukee has such a diverse family of tools.
