Nothing would come up on my Home Depot searches or stores within 100 miles from me. I stopped at a different HD on the way home. Found the 2754-20 on the shelf. $159. Cashier honored my 20% Harbor Freight coupon too.

Is it common for HD to honor HF coupons? If so that would make my decision on adding to my Milwaukee collection that much easier.

No it's not common for most people/HD's to honor the HF coupon. It doesn't hurt to try though.

I wasn't aware of it till I read the Home Depot ending discount/coupon matching http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=318258 So I figured I would try it lol when I ask cashier if she would honor it, she called another employee, he looked it over and he told her yeah go ahead and honor it. Not sure if he was manager.

If I had to only have one it would probably be the 3/8 M18 impact
If I were buying a few I'd get the 2763 + M12 3/8 impact I think

My collection ! It really is an addiction. I began buying into Milwaukee early August 2015. I own a small landscaping company and these tools are used to maintain vehicles, equipment, for taking on certain jobs (I just tore down a shed using the m12 hackzall for 80% of the cuts!) and for fabricating new equipment/modifications to existing things.

I used my new M18 2763 impact to zip off a acura(honda) crank bolt yesterday. A couple raps of the impact and it zipped the bolt right off. Loved it. Didn't use it for much more on the timing belt change but it earned its keep. I have a couple control arms to do next week so will probably get some use out of it then.
That M12 ratchet would have been a huge time savor. Going to order the M12 3/8" impact that comes with the M12 ratchet.

Hd has the M12 3/8" impact for 200 bucks and you get a free ratchet. They have two kits, one has a 1/4" ratchet and one has a 3/8" ratchet. If you were me and already have the M18 2763 and are picking up the 2454 M12 3/8" impact would you add the 1/4" or 3/8" ratchet? They are the same price and almost the same torque rating, 1/4" is 30 and the 3/8" is 35 from what I have read. I'm leaning towards the 1/4" just because it looks a little smaller and can get in more places.

And can actually be interchanged. I think someone earlier in this thread said you can buy a repair kit and convert the 1/4" into the 3/8" and vise versa.

IMO, that's one the the few bolts that make the 2763 worth using. Had a 2763 and sold it due to the lack of use. I find the 2654/2764 to be much more versatile.

I still can not bring myself to paying the going price on a Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8" Impact Wrench Kit (2454-22). Even the non-FUEL version is "overpriced", IMHO.

If you guys had the 2763 1/2", 2753 hex m18, and the m12 3/8" impact, would you get the 1/4" or 3/8" ratchet? Just trying to decide which one would be more useful for auto repair? HD has the deal if you buy the m12 3/8" impact you can get the 1/4" or 3/8" ratchet for free. Want to get that but need to decide which ratchet would be more useful. If they are the same besides the head I will probably go with 1/4" since I think my 1/4" sockets go up to 15mm and are a hair smaller then my 3/8" sockets. I won't be using the ratchet to break bolts loose so 1/4" sockets should be fine to run bolts in and out.

They are in fact, the same ratchet, except for the anvil, which can be changed out. Milwaukee tech support confirmed that the difference in torque rating (30 vs. 35) is due to the difference in anvil size. If you look at the parts diagram on the Milwaukee site, you'll see that, other than the anvil, all the rest of the innards are the same.

Sorry, not much help.. I'd say if getting into tight spaces is most important then I would do 1/4. If you work on sized stuff that is more appropriate to 3/8" sockets then I'd do 3/8. The 3/8 is a little bit stronger too if that makes any difference to you

That is awesome! Last time I had to get one of those off I didn't have the 2763 so it was quite a pain in the rear.
Mine took off an LS2 crank bolt no problem.. and those things will put a Honda bolt to shame. It's something like 250 ft*lbs
The M12 ratchets can be handy but the overall size, limited torque and expense made my decision to pass on them again this year. The retail price for the ratchet is just too close to some super high quality SO ratchets. I compared both M12 ratchets and they are the same size differing just a bit on ratchet head size. Very pleased with the performance of the M18 impact wrenches:2763/2654, impact drivers M18 2653 /M12 2453. IMO the overall size of the M18 3/8 impact wrench is not much bigger than the M12 3/8 impact wrench.

Scratch that. Girlfriend is aparrently going out of town on Monday so I told her a functioning CV with a bad boot is better than a newly replaced one that might have infant mortality. Rescheduling M12 Fuel workout till next week. I think for fun I'm going to see what it does with the spindle nut. Looking at purchasing a cordless ratchet for light auto work. Anyone have this. Good/bad? Seems like the best one out there. Buy on or 2 batteries?

Had mine over 3 years. Broke it but totally my fault & they replaced it in less than a week. Batteries last a long time & the indicator lets you know when it gets low so you can charge it for the next job. Also charges in about 20 minutes. One idea is get 1 then get another m12 tool or combo with batteries so you can swap if needed. The xc4.0 battery is about $80 but I got one in my drill impact combo for $100.

Not the best one out there, but probably the best bang for the buck. Lots of people here own the Milwaukee version, some searching will turn up plenty of opinions. Have you looked on home depots website? They have a deal where you buy the 3/8" impact kit for 200 and get the ratchet for free. They have one for the 1/4" ratchet and one for the 3/8" ratchet.
