I have that shockwave adapter too.. I put it on an older IR corded 3/8" impact at work to use with screws and lags.. Works good - a little wobble in it but otherwise fine. I feel like they should have designed a set screw in the thing, maybe opposite the ball detent. This way it doesn't come off too easily if you use it with an impact that doesn't have a pin lock. It doesn't see much use though, cause I've since gotten 2 other impact drivers..
The only reason I got the Shockwave 1/4" adapter was to use for small bolts when I work on my wife's car, my car, and my wife's mothers car. But my next purchase I'm kind of leaning towards the m18 fuel 1/2" high torque impact wrench tho!
